A cheeky trick I learned somewhere was to leave some task just barely unfinished when leaving the project for the day. That way, you have an easy entry into it the next day you get started again because you can just continue where you left off. The original advice was in context of writing a paper where you'd leave a sentence unfinished but I found that just hacking together the function definition for a new thing + a TODO comment also work wonders in coding!

You're back man! Super stoked about this project and was hoping you hadn't given up. I'm a game developer myself and I know how hard it can be to keep motivation for a project. You're doing great stuff!

Spent one month on a project, i was on it literally everyday for like 8 hours. I put it on the shelf for months now im back into my project. Burnout is super real and can be debilitating. Good thing about it though was i didnt stop gaming or stop thinking about my project, i kept writing my ideas down and watching videos about game dev. I just needed a break from what i was doing and now i have a different perspective on everything simply due to being absent for so long. You can turn burnout into a good thing

Got probably 1600h into my game, don't know if its because im a very technical person with lots of previous experience in 3D Modeling, Texturing etc. But i already got Basebuilding, all Weapon Mechanics, 16 Guns, a full fledged homemade Inventory system, crafting system, gathering system, movement system, farming system and even Vehicles, AI, Dedicated sever and so much more established without using assets. Fully multiplayer replicated for up to 60 players in a open world map. I always see videos like this and im like, either people are slow or i am fast. Thats progress of like 7 months.

You mentioned Unity, do you only use Unity or are there other engines you recommend? I'm considering starting from scratch on Godot. I'm not new to programming (I worked for 15 years with unrelated programming languages) and I ventured a little on Gamemaker. I wanted something where I could pop up little projects and play around with them in order to learn
