Honestly the new updated that brings the rune master to the starting area is amazing. I love the Vanilla pace but sometimes it is really slow so this makes it much more interesting to play and all classes feel amazing and fun to play. I am still at leveling faze but man am I having fun playing Vanilla with a twist. Sometimes people end up overcomplicating the game and making it a chore to play, where I'm pretty sure that you can form a raid with a variety of specs and classes and end up finishing the raid. I hate the fact that everything is meta now, and you have to play the thing that does the MOST DAMAGE, or THE MOST Healing...

exactly. the community hates warriors bc they're mad about warrior being #1 in classic. what they fail to understand is that being good at raid dps is the only thing warriors have over other classes. so right now other classes basically get to have their cake and eat it, too.

The Paladin isn't the best at anything, in fact you're in a lucky timeline if all three specs even qualify as mid tier. It's not the strongest tank, not the strongest healer and it sure as shit ain't the strongest damage dealer, it has never been anywhere close to the top of any meter. So, why does different rules apply to the warrior?

@@TheSaltyAdmiral you basically say it in yourself, flexibility and ease of use in hybrid classes vs onetrick ponies. I somewhat agree with paladin btw, even though they improved the paladin experience by alot vs vanilla (rightly so). However, look at druids for example. Why should a true hybrid class like druids with easy leveling, convenience, insane flexibility and ease of use (compare warrior dps gameplay vs boomkin) be better at the only thing that warrior used to have over other classes? And they got range to boot, which cannot be overstressed, range in most video games let alone mmos or similar genres is a huge advantage. Again, I am not arguing that other classes should be as far behind as they are in vanilla dps-wise, but a slight advantage for warriors would only be fair because let's face it, if you have the worst leveling, no farming/soloing capabilities, low ease of use, low flexibility, before I forget it, terrible pvp (yes I know :just get 10 pocket healers bro and be a god!!11") and then you take away the one thing a onetrick pony is truly good at (=dps) there is no point in even playing that class.

As a main shadow priest for years and years… I agree, AQ has breaks in some fights that make shadow feel bad because of having to refresh dots and just moving in general. But since the rotation is great in sod, my hope is to have full bis and really blast in Naxx phase where there are some stand still and pump type bosses.

​@@NOHITJEROME Zuggachad of Wildgrowth. I've always liked the idea of a melee class with a pet and enjoy the synchronization they offered between melee hunter and their pet. I find the rotation enjoyable especially 2 hand running Expose weakness. Timing the flanking strike to hold 3 stacks while binding raptor strike to all other melee strikes (Mongoose bite, Wyvern strike, Wing clip/traps) Currently with T2.5 2 piece, T2 6 Piece, ZG 2 Piece. I think over all damage between different hunter specs are pretty close to even in pve content, but in pvp it's basically foolish to be melee when range can do the same damage at a distance.

I would also like to add that the difference between range and melee dps is much larger when both are without world buffs. Melee hunter is very reliant on having world buffs to compete similarly to range hunters.

@@NOHITJEROME i have played hunter for about 20 years, when i was a young lad playing original classic i played survival to melee warriors/rogues as i was a back peddling noob. the current melee hunter gives us old folk the survival melee hunter we wanted in original classic. so nostalgia probably, the challenge (it is worse than ranged in many situations so much more difficult to play), and the change - lock and load meta was boring. the KS 4 piece for ranged does look hawt though! i do play both specs. i just main melee

Shadow priest was absolutely blasting P5, they were always #1 damage in my raids with enough healing as almost a second healer it made me want to switch. Not sure about this phase though. Agree with warrior/ret paladin, im hearing alot of complaints about these two classes at the moment.

your spriests were #1 damage in p5? that's wild, i didn't run into many at that level. my understanding was that blizz was never going to let spriest be #1 again because of their heals/mana/utility which means they are doomed to middle of the pack dps at best

underrated insinuates the class has more importance then most recognize; where as underwhelming refers to the class failing to impress period. Underwhelming is a better term for the explanation you've given in your video, as to not confuse people considering underrated can mean the class IS good but isn't acknowledged.

I am someone who has always loved the idea of melee hunter, and using the 2H build at level 60 has been so much fun. Unfortunately my raid had too many melee during BWL so I quit hunter as I was tired of the ranged aspect (funny I know, why play hunter). I was just ready for a change from ranged to melee. Now I'm playing warrior in AQ and boy was that choice a mistake. lol

I love beeing a melee hunter :) Its the only class or specc that are giving me the feeling of oldschool fury warrior that I grew up with. Sod warrior was to strange for me. Having 3 spells to click on cd and one to fish for windfury. Aspect of the lion, curse of rec and giving all the raid 1%hit and chance for boss to dodge is nice. I also like having a pet. The range rotation is doing the same over and over again. Melee is more rng with the spells resetting each other. More cds to use makes it more cool to get a boost in dag when needed. On aoe stuff I am trash, but single target and short fights there is not many that can keep up with my dps

ret top 2 or 3? my understanding was that they were not top 2 or 3, but i main horde. the sims put them top 2 or 3 but melee in aq is pretty griefed. as for warrior..it would be surprising to me if we don't see SOME buffs before naxx. everyone wants warrior to succeed except blizzard

Over all Strat is making me in an hour/half some times better if the live side has 3 packs rather than 4 packs of Scarlet mobs 100-200 gold; also excluding epics from that. That amount is roughly dependent on the AH market from Righteous Orbs [45g-60g] (usually 1 per run min), DE'ing the blues [Large Brilliant Shards 8-12g] and greens [greater eternal essence 8-15g], the raw gold from kills [10-15g sometimes more] and especially selling the runecloth bandages [7-13/stack]. plus it's just fun. i'll have to get back to you on the others like scholo [takes much longer to run but you get lots of blues to DE], lbrs n brd.

The hunter weave build is realy chalenging to pull off but if you do the dps is top lvl! Thats what makes hunter fun for me. Chalenging to play to its max potential but if you do, you will reap the rewards.

@NOHITJEROME for open wpvp hunters and druids rogues are overpowered. For duels shamans rogues, Ret pallys, spriests, warlocks, and druids are all pretty oppressive. Most fights feel like they end pretty fast

@ Hunter is the most broken class in PvP with the aq bonus. I have two rank 14 and it’s not even close . They can kill someone with 8-9k hp in less than 2 seconds. The PvP gear set bonuses just aren’t that great so people are not opting for max dps with broken set pieces. Spriest is also busted

This phase has put hunters in a great space in regard to options. BWL gear range, AQ range (all 3 specs work!), melee hunter (2h bm, dw bm) Lots of options to play and test and theory craft, I’m enjoying it!

i'm not sure we even play the same SoD listening to this list shadowpriest def blast but hunters seem to be more than fine on dps and bring buffs like...kings curse of racklessnes if their melee all that good stuff warriors felt like shit since their rework in temple yea i'll agree with that one besides them having no interesting runes what so ever unlike some other classes and shamans i dont feel like enhancement has it all that bad when i watch them pop off by basicly just auto attacking alone

Pretty much all the fights in Phase 6 have low uptime for classes that need to stand still to parse. Come Naxx, pretty much all the classes you said are dog water this phase are going to shine, unless they add more mechanics to the fights.

I think SoD was to many people the classic + they wanted in the first glimpse, then over the phases it went down a path where it’d become more similar to retail. But most annoying thing that all classic servers share, is the meltdown of the economy due to the hyper botting. I hope blizzard listens and finally takes some action, I mean real action.
