Most people hate heroes because of how quickly repetitive it get's, none of the campaigns have their own set of levels like the previous games, they all share the same levels but with minor differences, like Team Dark just have more stronger enemies and traps, Team Rose as shorter level design, and Team Chaotix have tasks in-order complete the level, ik that SA1 did the same thing, but atleast for that game, each of the characters weren't in the same order, plus Sonic had the most amount levels out of the six campaigns, soo their isn't really anything to complain there. The two first levels were the only stages in the game that felt fun and replayable, but when you get to Grand Metropolis, that's where the game start's having levels that takes forever to complete, and the fact that you have to do it 4 times makes it even worse.. This game is not fun.. it's frustrating, it term of how you beat it, i would say Heroes is the worst one after Shadow 05 and Sonic Rivals 2, the game forces you to play it four times to get the last story. Overall, Sonic Heroes is a mid game, it's neither good or bad.. and i think it's should be regarded as the most overrated game of the franchise, some people loves Heroes only for the visuals, the music, the fact that it was a game from the golden era of Sonic, or simply because it was their childhood game. But hey, if you like Heroes, good for you.. ain't gonna judging you, but im not really a huge fan of this game.. (And im saying all that because i finally completed the game for the first time ever in my life today) Edit: After writing my opinion on each campaign of the game, i think Heroes is a fine game, still not a top 10 in my list, but it's a top 20 game for the least.

Sonic Frontiers was definitely overrated. Played through the game, S-Ranked it all... and it's a 7/10 Sonic game. After the first area, you get hampered by enemies changing your view and 2D sections. The required minigames were bad too, like seriously dogwater. Sonic for almost a year dudnt have momentum when he jumped. And don't get me started with how dull the cyberspace stages are. It's the best 3d Sonic game since Generations, but thats it. Worse combat than Unleashed too btw, but that could be a matter of preference.

it was a 7/10 for me at launch for sure, the improvements and additions to it have boosted it to around an 8.5 simply from the pure level of fun I get out of replaying it now, but hopefully those will all be things in the next game of this style at launch also I have some strong words for whoever thought that mandatory pinball minigame was a good idea, legit worst part of the game

Yeah, the sun and moon medals really screwed Unleashed up. On replays the medal requirements are not that bad (except from that one. damn. act.) since you know you have to look out for them, but it will always sour my opinion of the game whenever I think about it.

I wouldn't call Unleashed overrated at all. It's only recently been receiving high praise, for the longest time it was pretty divisive. Adventure 2 by comparison was lauded as the best sonic game ever since the very beginning and to this day is given so much praise.

Sonic Colors for the Wii was praised as the best Sonic Game in a long time. The hype and praise was so big, that I actually purchased it. I have never purchased a single Sonic game until then, but I played everything up to Sonic Adventure at the time and enjoyed them. The dark age never made me want to touch a Sonic game. But Sonic Colors was soooooo boring... - the game pretty much played itself in the 3d section - the cutscenes made me less and less interested in the games. They were not building up hype for anything. - 2D sections were awful Sonic was so small, I couldn't really see him and the platforming was horrible in those section I gave up after beating the first boss. Those factors are why I think Sonic Colors is overrated.

1. Sonic Frontier, the game is clearly a tech demo yet its being called "masterpiece" by people who don't want to hurt they commu or that aren't that good or even are relatively new to videogames. 2. Sonic Color, very vocal community but not a gameplay that appealing nor fun to most people. ( personnal opinion, but the boosting formula is super generic in 2d, and barely original in 3d ) 3. Sonic Rider, the game is good, but its not the gamechanging masterpiece that changed racing game or anything even close to that.

Sonic frontiers biggest flaw is probably the starfall islands gameplay there just the same thing with different textures and models but the bosses where honestly peak by far the best part about the game

imo Sonic Heroes is actually really overhated. yeah the really long levels are waaay too long (Power Plant) but the team switching is very snappy, and you even preserve (some) momentum into another teammate which keeps the flow going.

I have a lot more fun with CD and Mania (Which are currently my two favorite 2D games) I'd also say that Rush is a barely overrated. Honestly I really need to go back and play it again. As for Advance, I agree that it's overhated, but the GBA screen crunch isn't helping much there (Advance 2 has way too many bottomless pits that you don't see coming because the game is designed to make you go as fast as possible)

I think sonic 1 and 2 is overrated Ill give my reasoning Sonic 1: well ill give it the fact that it is the first sonic game but everyone can agree labryinth sucks i used to hate marble but its grown on me i used to think it was a unfair hell but now that ive played it multiple times and ive gotten better at sonic its actually not that bad Spring yard zone is above average but i enjoy it scrap brain is the worst zone in the game i hate it more than labryinth. Green hill and starlight are peak sonic zones though Sonic 2: most of the game is really good but oil ocean onwards is where i stop enjoying the game i think death egg has some of the best bosses in the classic era though and it has some of my favorite levels in the series aka mystic cave aquatic ruin and chemical plant Off topic but i think cd is overhated i enjoy every zone except for 1 thats wacky workbench (which i cant say for most of the classic era) anyways thats just my opinion

Sonic CD is deffinetly underrated. People complain about a lot of things. First,the confusing level design. It's not confusing,it's just that most Sonic fans who played Sonic 1,Sonic 2,Sonic 3&K before Sonic CD,they were most likely to complain about the level design because in the other Classic Sonic games(Sonic 1,Sonic 2,Sonic 3&K)the level design is quick like get to the goal,while Sonic CD's level design is more focused on exploration and the game wants you to look in every place you can find,and the super peelout is not only made for speed,but also to help you reach areas that you can't reach normaly with a spindash. It also has a lot of atmosphere, like how if you don't break the robot generators,the levels are mettalic with barely any life left in them,while if you do break the generators,you make into the good future which has a perfect balance between technology and nature. The game let's you see how the future will turn out by the course of your actions in the game,like how in Wacky Workbench Act 1,in the past,there is a hole in a wall which inside is an angel statue that gives you rings,while in Wacky Workbench Act 1,in the bad future,in the same place,there is a Robotnik statue and if you break it,bombs fall from the ceiling making you lose your rings,in the present and good future,this hole in the wall,is blocked and can't be reached. This gives you the feeling that you should not try to change the future for 100% completion,but to also stop Robotnik's evil ways on the little planet. Both soundtracks are also good in their own ways, with the japanese soundtrack being more focused on feeling of the level,while the US soundtrack is more focused on atmosphere of the level. This is what makes the game so unique and all of it's criticism comes from Sonic fans who like the Classic level design formula of get to the goal. Another complaint,time travel,also isn't bad. Time travel is not confusing and changes the level design not only to make the level different and give you new challenges to go through,but also to change which locations are accsecible or not,allowing you to explore new areas you can't explore in any other version of that same level. Sonic CD is an underrated gem and is personnaly my favorite Sonic game and it always will be.

Sa1 is in my opinion the most overrated game because there is so many issues people overlook, people glorify the controls saying they are the best in the sires which i don’t think is true because you loose a lot of speed when you jump or turn and the colision is all over the place, the level design is the best in the siries however the physics and collision is so bad that I can’t realy enjoy them as much as boost stages which is a shame because i think that the adventure formula is better than the boost formula but I prefer boost games because the adventure games have a lot of issues, also 2/ 6 campaigns SUCK, amy and big make me want to kill myself, tails is pretty good and knuckles and gamma are ok, the story is meh and the voice acting is horrendous. However despite these issues i can still find some enjoyment out of this game and if we get a remake that fixes the colision issues and deletes half the campains then it might even be my favourite sonic game
