Steph Castle is a beast! He looks poised and measured on the floor. And I have yet to see him smile once.

From an IQ and personality POV, I think Castle is going to be a real problem really quickly for the NBA. Fearlessness + Patience/Control = rare and dangerous combo

I never followed the narrative that this class would be one of the worst. I’m not sure there are any superstars in the making but a lot of the guys are gonna have solid nba careers
@nathanielb498511 сағат бұрын
No actually. Anyone that thought it was a draft full of role players are actually just really stupid
@gluestick575911 сағат бұрын
People misconstrued what this draft was weak as- people assumed 2000 with essentially no talent period but it was always just a draft without a superstar tier propect and a ton of high level role players and some potential all stars. Especially with all the upperclassmen in the first round, it was bound to be a class with a lot of guys that impact winning as soon as they come into the league
@UpNextSiah10 сағат бұрын
i feel it’s because there is no “All-nba/Hall of fame bound” gauranteed draftees here but there all solid nd do what they do good, they have there flaws but definitely their strengths and poised.
@JStack7 сағат бұрын
@@gluestick5759yeah you can even just Google 24 NBA draft talent level and it’s mostly posts talking about how there may be no Zion, but a lot of oladipos and that picks down to 15 could get good minutes in the league first year. The terrible draft narrative only came from low info BS like ESPN and FOX in which case it’s literally their job to post fluff and not facts

If this Salaun 3 ball sticks all year he legitimately has ROTY upside, him being good right away puts the “if LaMelo/Mark stay healthy watch out” ceiling scarily high

The one thing Rissacher has going for him is that he'll be starting. He'll get a good number of opportunities to knock down catch-and-shoot threes playing alongside Trae Young. If he does well, he might even take home the Rookie Of The Year award.
@blablablaa1410 сағат бұрын
I wouldn't be convinced he's starting because Hunter is still a way paid guy, often times that overcomes even being picked high, especially with how low people are on Risacher, its easy to put him in the bench for the Hawks. So he will need to be good immediately. The Hawks are doing the opposite of tanking which is the situation that most number 1 picks go into
@DEVILONBOTHSHOULDERS7 сағат бұрын
i think edey has an even better shot at roty, his job is a lot easier and his role is super streamlined and hes got a lot of exp being an older rookie run pick and rolls with ja, catch lobs, use his footwork in the paint to be efficient around the rim, and then do normal 7 foot center stuff on defense with marcus smart and JJJ to help out as strong defensive presences rissacher is prob gonna be a better player longterm (switchable 3&D wing is a more valuable archetype than traditional big man esp with how much younger zach is) but edey is in such a nice position cuz memphis really shouldnt be a lottery team but were due to missing ja for a whole year

If Salaun can make that jab step three into a late clock rythrm shot, with his frame that’s going to be a problem for defending him

1:25 my worry with edey is he’s just forwardly not athletic or skilled enough to keep up with real nba basketball. Teams already hold the ball less than 10 secs over half the time, just push a little harder and run 4v5 openings. Even in preseason he struggled keeping pace.

Reed was much better in his second game then the first you can see the flashes where he can be a damn good point guard for us. The sad thing is we might have to rely on him too soon because besides Fred and Sengun we have no one that can actually run an efficient offense
