Doc do you find that you need to use starter fertilizer with that Annual Rye? I wondered if I could get away without using it since everything is so dang expensive right now.

Doc, I seeded my rye this winter and woke up to the entire lawn covered in birds. What do you recommend to try and keep the birds off?

It should be fine especially if the soil is muddy, and it’s been warmer than normal for much of the US. I’m in north Alabama and have seeded all the way into December before
