The Ur-Dragon is a really good option for Omni-Tribal. Given that most of the deck is Changelings and usually having Maskwood Nexus type effects for the others.

What you could also do, is call Slivers as the creature type for Ruka (turning herself into a Sliver, possibly protecting and definetly buffing her) as well as any other strong standalone card like if you want to throw in a ghalta and mavren for example. It may be jank but it has possibilities and that i do like.

You can set her as a sliver, then use spark double, double major, or a sakashima to copy her so you can pick another creature type, then make copies of that with more clones or the hatchery sliver

You can call slivers then run a deck that is part slivers and part other creatures that would benefit from being a sliver.

i’m currently planning to make like an 80card base deck and then have like 6 x 20 of tribes to slot in. eldrazi, giants, dinos, dragons etc. also this commander is great because you can A) name the other tribe to make your slivers a dragon to trigger cards like miriym. or B) name sliver to take your cards and let them get al the sliver effects

I think the idea of this deck isn’t to make a sliver/bird or sliver/dwarf, or sliver/serpent deck. It’s to make a tribal tribal deck with a few really powerful slivers with bounce spells to protect your commander. Every time you save your commander you can change the creature type. Need ramp? Make them dwarves with Magda. Need to find Sliver Legion? Bounce her again, name dragon, and then search with Magda. Need to control the stack? Bounce, name wizard, and have patron wizard out. Board wipe incoming? Name bird to get the feather counters. It’s a tribal deck that you get to decide which tribe you need at a moments notice, which I don’t see many tribal tribal decks doing

I think you're missing the point. This is a tribal tribal commmader. You don't have to build this arounds slivers. It makes what ever creature type you need. It says silvers AND non token creatures. This means your silver tokens will be whatever type you name.

The way i see her is this was a retrain of Sliver Queen, a undoubtedly weaker version of her, but I think that was the main thing with this. That being said I’m brewing up a Sliver deck using her and Eldrazi cards that summon 0/1 or 1/1 scions/spawns to just flood the board with tokens that will get all kinds of buffs from the slivers now. So I think this deck will be great; no, but it will be fun.

My look at this card is to hold her back until you see if your opponent uses some sort of tribal buff, then drop her when/if you figure it out and parasite off your opponent's buffs to add to your own slivers.

The effect only sticks around when the commander is on the battlefield. You could flicker it to choose a new type, but you'd lose the previous one.

It should work.

7:15 I don’t really play Commander But wouldn’t the idea be more to stick with 2 creature types (including slivers), and have it preferably be something that functions similarly Like Elves, Demons, or Werewolves, etc? Ya know, like types that commonly boost each other

I think naming slivers and letting all your value pieces also be slivers is a pretty viable option for slivers obviously overlord and queen are better but this is really strong

I am only considering it for my high powered sliver deck so I can create more sliver tokens. But I don’t think it makes the cut. I would rather have an actual sliver in there so I can sliver cycle or use my sliver overlord to get them out.

My initial impression with Rukarumel is to slap some Eldrazi in there. Name Slivers when you drop commander so all your BEEG bois turn the opponents board state into slime. Also, if you name slivers, Rukarumel totally benifits from all the slivers you have on board.

I love this niche options! Putting Elves is my first pick and I'm gladily add a Diabolic Tutor and Planar Portal just to get Rukarumel (a Sliver commander must be Overlord, period, no objection accepted ahah). Spirit could be nice to give protection, like hexproof. Also, choosing Sliver just to provide others (like Angels) the Slivers' buffs is ... weird but nice!
