He doesn't strike me as a sociopath or a simpleton or a religious zealot. He's absolutely a slick greasy politician who loves the spotlight. But hey....I can live with THAT. Indeed, that can even be a wee bit charming. Basically, Christie isn't Trump....or DeSantis.....or MTG. Is he my ideal president? Not even remotely. But......right now? In the world that exists as it currently is? I think he IS my ideal Republican candidate/president. Despite all logic, I somehow......somehow.....kinda sorta like the guy. And he's not a total idiot. And he seems like a real human being. And he'd be open and available to criticism....he'd engage and debate and push back.....AND I think listen and consider alternative points of view. Anyway.....whatever. It doesn't really matter. He'll never win. The current GOP would never elect someone like Chris Christie. In that world, he's nowhere near enough of a sociopath or simpleton to be electable.

He’d criticized him and was all anti-Trumpy, then he started kissing his butt. He was a guest on Fox, CNN, and MSNBC quite often and the stuff he said, the Trump crap he defended… He came across as a dummy, imo. One time in particular while listening to him I thought “Wow! I could be New Jersey’s governor. I’m much smarter than he is and I speak better”. Same with Trump. He didn’t know a lot of basic things when he started and his aides and a few cabinet members said he showed little to no interest in putting in the effort to actually learn things. I think there were so many words he didn’t know and he didn’t want people to find out. I think it’s one of the reasons he wanted Ivanka there. Remember when he learned the word reciprocity and its variations? Lol! What a simpleton.

If you were to come out of the poll booth and there was a reporter, or anyone for that matter, standing there point blank asking you who you voted for, you were likely to give them the stink eye, right before you told them to piss off. It just wasn't done. People had respect for personal matters, and politics were considered a personal matter. What it really shows is how much of a farce the primaries are in politics. You rip the guy in your own party, you know he is a POS and yet you still vote for him, amazing! This is the exact reason why it is impossible to defeat Trump. Trump knows he is in a party of idiots that he can control because they always vote the party line, there is no contradiction or else you are beheaded. This is the exact opposite issue on the Democratic side, there is too much partisan party action and they don't stick together in the end and then a few percentage points are taken off the voting total and the Repubs can sneak in a win.

Christi complains about kids being entitled and given everything by their parents (true to some extent), but then he complains about the $74,000 he spends for one of his kids to go to Providence and $72,000 for the other kid to attend Notre Dame! I wish Bill would have asked him why in the world is he paying those gigantic tuitions for his kids? Why didn't he tell his kids to find a community college or figure out how they (the kids) can pay their own way to school? It seems to me that Christi is wanting to act like the big bad daddy bear, but behind the scenes he gives in to his entitled kids for everything they want.

The same reasons all the other parents do it: if you can afford to, you do. Cause every parent wants the best for their kids - not what's harder. Going to community or state college when you can afford elite is just going to make their post-college life harder; and for what? Principle? Cause you want it to be "harder" for them to reach their full potential? F-that. Life's too short

@danib98452 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t matter why they ousted the PM, the point is that in the parliamentary system, you can. Once parliament has lost confidence in the PM, they can remove him or her from office with a majority vote and hold another election. The electoral campaign doesn’t take two years, and it’s not limited to two parties. We see how dangerously divisive a two-party system is. The only part of the US system of democracy that I envy as a Canadian is the term limit for the leader of the elected party.
