Athletically he's not elite but his basketball IQ is really high. I love that he's a pass first kind of guy but I hope he doesn't fall into the same attitude as Lonzo where he defers too much and passes up wide open shots. Guys, he can’t score everytime he drives because as a pointguard, it’s a good play to pass to the center when driving. Melo is probably trying to average a triple double to be ranked number one in the country, so it’s extremely understandable and a smart move to make to dish it out often. Imagine if Melo averages a triple double as a highschool senior. It would be amazing for his career and bring his ranking way up, and he totally has the capability to do so, so I’m totally on the same page as him. Also as a pointguard, play making is essential and dishing to bigs is a pretty common play
