Also, when thinking about the lies and illusions, i think about the way fountain city looked like. We know from ocianid lore that the waters of fontaine are poluted, but in the city everything is colourful, with dream like clear waters. I think it might also be about the pretty city for the rich and unlivable parts of the country for the poor, where the word justice means nothing and everything, idk

What I got from this is... Freminet is judged/found 'guilty' (probably) Liney and Lynette are spies/sleeper cells from the House of Hearth and Arlecchino is teaching them the art of deception. I dont think Navia-the geo lady is a criminal. If anything, the overture video gave me the impression that she is either a Fontaine celebrity, or perhaps the editor-in chief of Steambird, specifically the boss lady Franfei(French Yanfei) compared Yae to in 3.7 event Nonetheless, she might be found guilty for publishing information that is not in-line with whatever fountaine court's policies are (assuming court is the governing body of Fontaine). Just remembered that Franfei's actual name is Charlotte, oh well.

What tease me is that the traditional figure of Arlecchino is a very colorful man, born as the poorest guy you can find. So poor, in fact, that he was (traditionally this is the story I've heard as italian) the only one not having a carnival costume. In order to make one he took all the pieces of colorful fabric thrown away, he put them together and made one beautiful rainbow costume. He is the most colorful Maschera you can find between them all (traditionally). Here is a woman who wears only black, white and blood red. I wonder if there's some sort of connection, seeing that the main theme is "illusion and lies". I feel like she not being colorful is a very important hint, but I can't put all the pieces together. At the beginning I thought they were only misrepresenting Arlecchino, but now I wonder if they made it on purpose.

Perhaps the deception of conformity? My initial prediction upon her first appearance was that she would betray the Tsaritsa, and by taking on this seemingly high-class, foreboding look, she would be able to camouflage herself as a loyal Harbinger. Edit: It’s also striking just how different she looks compared to Fontaine characters (except Dark Sampo, maybe something of note). So I think she’ll be working from the shadows until she is forced out into the open…or even unexpectedly betrayed by a Harbinger like Pierro or Columbina.

I think Lyney and Lynette WERE working for Arlecchino, but then they learn about the reality of Fontaine, and decide to switch to the "good" side, and they THINK they can trick Arlecchino into believing they are still ok her side, but she discovers it very quickly, and that scene where she knocks over the props may represent them trying to fool her, but she exposes the fact that she knows everything already and uses it to her favor.

here's my crackpot theory: lyney lynette and freminet are all siblings who escaped from the house of hearth when they were much younger (or were secreted out by a third party), and found success as members of Fontaine's society Freminet perhaps receives a mission that he flubbed badly or got framed, and is currently under trial (maybe that's where we come in) Behind the scenes, Arlecchino hunts the siblings down and says she'll help freminet if lyney and lynette help her in a scheme (potentially using their magic show as a distraction from her real plans) And Fontaine's plot becomes a high stakes, double-triple crossing game of espionage and heists!

sorry if someone's mentioned this before, but: regarding the first scene with freminet and egeria saying "The original sin is the fairest. Everyone sinks..." this cooould be a reference to an old test people used to discover if someone was a witch or not. people were bound and thrown into water, and those who floated were considered guilty because the water rejected them, while the innocent sank. i definitely don't feel certain about that but it is what came to mind for me while watching

I thought of sumn after watching the enligh version of the video dish says sumn along the lines of what connects a court room to actors and stuff later she goes back to when arlecchino says good actors hone their craft to mesmerize the whole crowd im thinking the courtroom scene after that is the stage where the actors like neuvillette and focalors and other people that participate in the trials "hone their craft to mesmerize the crowd". The crowd could be focalors herself and a way for arlecchino to get her gnosis as we know focalors enjoys watching the trials so to mesmerize the crowd is to mesmerize focalors with a trial and the actors honing their craft could be neuvillette as he is the chief of justice and cheif of justice takes a lot of work so honing his craft could be him doing his absolute best as the chief of justice

Fontaine seems to be divided between the upper world of the “righteous”. It’s all clean and beautiful, at least on the surface. And the underworld of “sinners” the sewers and darkness. Probably the justice system is so strict that even a little thing gets you send away to the underworld and cut away from the proper society. With no way to rise back up, so there’s no hope to better your life once you’re judged. Also Wriothesley (dark Sampo) is just concentrating on his reading. Segwinne is trying to get him to drink her fluffy whipped cream drink but he ignores it and goes for his normal coffee/tea.

The Dark Sampo definitely isn't blind, he's obviously dividing his attention between the papers and whatever is going on behind the camera. And given how distracted they get by the spotlight thown at them right at the end of their clip, they may even have a part in that show. Arlecchino doesn't work with robots, she works with orphans. My guess is the three aren't siblings by blood, they're siblings through House of Hearth. And Lynette is another Kätzlein, perhaps even related to Diona.

I love Fontaine because it’s about justice, and not only that, it’s related to Hydro. The ocean has little to almost no exploration, and we have no truth about it whatsoever. Many people just make speculations or lies about the sea. So when Ferminet is drowning, does that mean he’s drowning in lies? Justice and the truth may just be a word that Furina uses for fun as we look at her personality. I have a feeling that Fontaine will look like it’s main focus is justice and truth, but in reality no one cares about it. It’s all just a show. Even Lyney said that people don’t realize how much they expect their eyes to show them the truth. So is Lyney showing us the truth, or is he showing us lies? We saw Arlecchino speaking to them both, but does that mean they’re working together? Lyney’s main purpose is to throw us off in our journey? What Lyney said made it seem like this is not a nation of truth, but a nation of lies. Furina/Focalors is tired of the truth and justice, so does she want someone to feed the court lies? She made it look like she was bored out of her mind about the usual trials, truth or lies, it doesn’t matter to her. She just wants a real twist in this story, which is what Hoyo is planning. Is it not? Sorry that I made this that long though.

I need a sand character though. Based around the Sumeru desert, someone who can manipulate sand like Gaara or some kind of Sandbender. Sand is not a new element... A specific geo element. Sand will do special reactions... Like Sand Pyro Crystallizations will make crystals that explode in contact with the enemy. Or sand hydro Crystallizations will trap the enemies for a short time... But It will just be freeze so a little different

That kr neuvilette is so deep, deep as we sink with our original sin 😂 About casting, by logic, i'd think it's chinese first, but at the very least, i've heard from jp interviews that some jp va's were decided directly by the cn hoyo side but i also remember hearing from the jp radio show that some went through audition. Kamiya Hiroshi (Neuvilette, Levi in AoT) and Ono Daisuke (Dark Sampo, Erwin in AoT) are kinda like a unit in the jp va world (gets cast together a lot, have a radio show together for ~16 years etc) so it's hard to imagine casting choices like these weren't at least influenced by the cn side since hoyo seems to be fans themselves of anime/jp media. Which gets decided first is hard to tell and possibly even varies, but lots of factors probably come into play and it's possible that the others are not necessarily based on which gets decided first. Sorry for the long comment, just thought i'd share in case anyone interested gets to read this. 😆

I think the “show” they keep mentioning is aka trials. In the teaser we saw in the 3.8 livestream we can see people living in sewers. Maybe power play or deception using trials is going to be one of the main things

Okay i’m not sure how accurate this is but apparently… The voice at the very start (the voice after “My mission” and says “The original something is everyone sinks or some like that”) is the same Voice Actor as Furina’s VA in the KR dub. this could just be KR but this could also actually be Focalors… “Unique” personality that Nahida talked about. or the personality is just her being a spoiled brat lol but it’s weird to think that the va is the same as the Furina va if it is true.

i don't think genshin can really die, i didnt play for like a year and came back like nothing im almost f2p (i buy the BP) and the 30$ per month but coming back was easy and didnt feel lost at all haha

In the concept art for arlecchino it is shown how half of her arms are black. So she does not wear gloves and it leaves me wondering what happened, guess we'll find out during the archon quest

10:05 Wriothesley (dark sampo) most likely just messed with sigewinne (little child) as you can see him smile for a moment, but there's a lot of theories that he is partially blind on the eye that he has the scar on. It is highly likely that he was *originally* supposed to be visually impaired, because in his early concept arts his scarred eye was a lighter color, hinting at blindness in that eye. Now it is just a harmless theory, but I really like it personally :D

Dumb little theory. When the camera is panning around Arlecchino, we can count 8 shadowy figures. Could these represent the remaining fatui harbingers watching her "performance"? She even mentions it herself in this video, saying that "Good actors hone their craft to mesmerize the whole crowd". Could she be referring to herself here in some way, as in she is an actor mesmerizing the "crowd" (the fatui) I do think there is a possibility that she is putting on an act for the fatui and is eventually going to betray them during the Fontaine arc.

I hope transitions of characters becoming cardboard happens in-game, it’d be so cool. Also, the part where the lady with the umbrella was shot with the gun looked, why did she just stand there and take the bullet? Maybe it’s also an illusion
