I have had my nanny for 7 years now since my son was born. When my son was 3 years old i had go do my Masters in the U.k for one year. She stayed with my son and my mother in law. 4 years later she is still here..and now helps me take care of my 2 kids. This year in Oct. I start my PhD and i plan to take her with me to the U.k. I wouldn't be able to do this without her. She is amazing.

READ THIS!! I remember a time we went shopping with my mum(juzi tu I was 25) and she saw a young mother struggling to shop with a very small baby. She walked to the lady and asked if she could take the baby from her and help carrying the child while I pushed the trolley for her. The mother accepted the help. She finished shopping and my mum asked her whether she had transport to where she was going, she didn't. My mum told her to get into her car and she drove her home. She got home safe with a sleeping baby and all her shopping intact(and mental health) ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ At the time I was like, Aih, why would you go out of your way for someone you don't know?? But I have since learnt how to extend grace to everyone not only mothers.

I always love Ivy's hairstyle. This video would be dedicated to mothers during mother's day. The part you talk about kid's tantrums in supermarkets, it's not just a mother's challenge but also a father's challenge. Generally, that is a challenge every parent faces.

I luuuuvvd this!!!Mummies absolutely need this corner....Yes...to being humbled as a parent especially on those torn stockings (knee area), peddlepushified pyjamas and the school fees struggles! Another truth... initially I could never understand why kids sometimes don't respond to greetings from grown ups until mine got there. Even getting them to say hi is a task at times...Now I know that the behaviour has nothing to do with the parent.
@magzdue3 жыл бұрын
Totally relatable as an aunt and now as a new mum esp makamasi and sleep training and crying without knowing the cause. I used to wonder why parents will not soothe their crying infants. Now i understand that sometimes its colic and there is nothing you can do. I was a shady person. I now understand so much and everyday my baby teaches me patience, grace and being a student of life

The nannies matter is indeed down to luck. Recall an acquaintance who had a nanny that had stayed 6 or so years and she used to wonder why others changed nannies every other month. But when her nanny left to pursue biz, she employed like 5 in the subsequent year. 🤦♂️🙆♂️

Another mischief that parents have to deal with and I think use to be this type of child. My late mother narrated this to me a while back and I couldn't remember it. I guess I was too young to remember this. I would put a piece of green pea(minji) inside my nostril unknowingly the pea would gut stuck in my nose. Every time I cough or sneeze you would hear a sound of some solid stuff jumping inside my nose. Personally, I would feel uncomfortable and I would cry. My mother notices this and she offers to take me to hospital. When we got to hospital, thank God the doctor removed the pea that was stuck inside my nose.

Mum shaming (which falls under bullying), projecting, unsolicited advice is so unnecessary. Most parents are doing all the can and more, and even then, it is none of your business. To the trolls - Stay in your lane! Deal with you and what triggers you to behave in such an inappropriate, self seeking, un-empathetic, negative and deconstructive way towards a mother on a parenting journey that is already so complex and extensive. You are the problem! Come correct.
