Just got the track exhaust installed on my 2022 430xi and good lord does it sound wild! Was a bit worried on the drone but its practically non existent when driving under 3,000 RPM, but when you stab the throttle all you hear is a roar of deep bellowing notes. how much drone you can tolerate is very subjective so your mileage will vary considerably. My last car was a 2014 dodge dart that had no sound and im not bothered by it in the slightest. if I had to compare the interior sound its 70% the loudness of a scat pack challenger. Not earth shattering but very noticeable and quite nice.

Are you still able to tell the difference when switching modes with the sound ? Or does adding this exhaust eliminate the values being closed like it is when you’re driving in comfort or eco?

@@asaeubanks Track AWE exhaust has no valve, and the interior loudness is dependent your RPM. Drive modes are built in biases for you engines powerband. Sport+ = loudest for cruising and flooring it Comfort = temperamental when cruising and loud when flooring it Eco pro = temperamental for all driving styles since eco pro shifts at 4.8k latest for maximum fuel efficiency.

Ok. Question. So the flanged pipe that joins the existing pipe from where you cut. Does the flanged part go over the existing pipe then you use the clamp?

Stock pipe goes into the AWE exhaust, and the OEM BMW clamps seals them together.

Check this: (Critical intel-please read) Which option should you go with? Due to the structural differences between the 330i and 430i, we recommend the following configurations: 330i: With all factory emissions equipment in place, the Track Edition is recommended for those wanting an elevated exhaust experience from within the cabin. If you plan to upgrade anything further upstream, consider the Touring Edition. Otherwise, the Touring Edition will resemble stock from within the cabin. 430i: Given the coupe design of the 430i, interior acoustics differ when compared to its sedan sibling, with new frequencies making their way into cabin. Due to this, and with all factory emissions equipment in place, we recommend equipping the Touring Edition to ensure an enjoyable driving experience. Drivers can, of course, equip a Track Edition, but it may be much for some, especially if anything upstream has been changed. You’ve been warned.

Does this exhaust work with the g21 (touring body) if so can i go with track if everything else forward is stock and not hear so much drone ?

These are only confirmed for the coupe and sedans.

Am i able to still cycle through sport, comfort and eco after adding the track exhaust ? Like now my sport mode is louder than comfort or am i just gonna have one sound after adding the exhaust ?

Yes, your drive modes are still usable and will still change the car's behavior. Switching into sport mode will act just like it does in stock form -- burbles, shift points, throttle sensitivity, etc. Eco mode will omit the burbles and the shift points will be lower than when in sport mode, etc. Just like stock.

Theyre similar from outside. Track will be heard more within the cabin at highway speeds whereas Touring is very tame at highway speeds.

Software is the primary enabler of said burbles. If your vehicle doesnt have them in factory form, the exhaust isn't going to produce them on there own. You may gain a bit of backtalk that would have been captured natrually from the factory mufflers.

Sorry, saw your duplicate comment on the other vid before this one. Track is recommended for the 330 (presuming everything else upstream is still factory) as the sedan's cabin is more forgiving than the coupe's.

I have a 2021 330i B46 engine. I see you recc the track edition due to the main cabin sound dampening on a 4-door sedan in the video. My quesion is: if I have a B46 instead of the B48 used in the video, will I get worse drone ? Have you received alot of drone complaints on the G20 330i track edition? TIA

The 46/48's differences lie in the emissions ratings. The output and experience within the cabin will remain the same and our recommendations remains the same -- if you're keeping everything upfront stock, go with the Track Edition.

@@awetuning I originally ordered the track, but after calling support I was convinced the droning would be annoying for a daily driver and they reccomended I switch to touring - which I did. I really don’t know what the right decision is. I don’t want my exhaust to be super loud at all times so i thought touring would give some more control, since after all this is my daily driver. Getting different reccomendations here vs over the phone. Hopefully the touring isn’t too quiet. don’t know if i made the right choice. I suppose I could call and switch AGAIN lol what do i do

@@nadermansour590 Understood. The Touring is going to be VERY civil within the cabin -- i.e. it's not going to sound much different than stock when on the highway. We recommend the Track Edition with stock DP on the sedan simply because 9 out of 10 folks are looking for a constant volume difference opposed to stock when swapping their exhausts (amongst other factors, of course) -- but boiled down, drivers want to hear it, and hear it more often than with their stock configuration. You'll hear the exhaust more with the Track Edition than the Touring Edition. Given the structure differences amongst the coupe and sedan, we wanted to be fully transparent to properly set expectations of what the experience will be. By your explanation, it's safe to assume you're looking for a soundtrack that is sophisticated a majority of the time but will pipe up when you want to get into the throttle. . . so the Touring Edition will do ya right.
