I just moved from a pete to a cascadia. I was surprised at how much space there is in the freightliner. It is wider than the pete. The bunk is wider in the pete but longer (head to toe) in the freightliner. The biggest thing I miss about the pete is the ride. It rode like a caddy while the freightliner rides like a covered wagon. Other thing is the dt12 auto (Detroit) in the freightliner is far easier to drive (dock, back, etc.) than the eaton in the pete. Huge difference.

As a former company driver for Prime, I hated the super singles, if it blows out, your done. I’ve had a couple blow outs mainly on trailers, it takes at least 3 hours for roadside service to come out and have to make sure the brought a rim too because your rim will also be toast

Might be dangerous on locking jaws. A mistake while driving and could lose trailer. Hopefully there’s a safety feature so can’t push it while driving.
@TravisKinley3 жыл бұрын
Hey Dan! Air actually holds locking jaws shut. So in order to uncouple a trailer from a tractor, your trailer brakes must be set - whether you have the auto locking jaws or just the regular lever (which these tractors also have). Thanks for watching!

At the same time, the SmartAir no-idle climate-control system lowers fuel costs and cuts emissions. It does not supply power to the tractor. What are the odds of a solo lease getting into one of these???
@TravisKinley4 жыл бұрын
Russell Hughes Pretty strong. If you are a lease driver, you choose what type of truck you get into. The only thing stopping you is you my friend!

1st of all Travis your truck is diesel powered not gas powered so therefore you do not put gas in your tanks you put diesel fuel in your tanks to run the truck. You don't stop at a truck stop and gas up your truck. You fuel up your truck. There not gas stops their fuel stops. You should say that in your videos so when people that don't know anything about a truck will know that they are diesel powered trucks not gas powered trucks

@@deaf2819 STFU ? Why should I ? The guy doesn't know what he is talking about. Guys like that need more training before he goes 8n the road by himself. It is dangerous for him and other people around him.
