This does look very cool. I wonder whether something similar could be done in the Pacific, with one player taking the Americans and the Japanese army, and the other taking the Chinese and the Japanese navy. Splitting Japan between army and navy would be very realistic and it would also help give the proper weight to the Chinese front, which hardly any PTO strategic game does.

Would be interesting but wow, lots of complexity to handle because there WAS frequent coordination despite the tension between the two branches. Perhaps the occasional event card that forces temporary cooperation of the two for some limited objective?

I've got this on my table and am playing with a buddy using an old version of the VASSAL module, but I am anxiously awaiting the updated VASSAL module to be released so that we can play it as written!

When's the VASSAL module going to be done, Joel? :)

May be player A as SU and German West against Player B as Allied and German East.

Yes, that's how it works.

How does it play solo?
@joeltoppen10 ай бұрын
Depends on what your expectations of "solo" are. You want a synthesized "opponent?" This won't do that. Want to replay history? This will do nicely.

Yes, looks interesting. I'm a big fan of Advanced Third Reich. One question, cost? 🤷

This is WAY more streamlined than ATR. I think it may qualify under GMT's current 50% off sale. That sale ends this week I believe.

I picked up a copy from the sale! $29.50. This one hadnt been on my radar at all until recently. I really appreciated seeing an overview!

Joel, nice summary. How about print that track out and slide it under your plexi / the right way up!? 😮

Yep! By now I have it pretty much memorized. It's nearly identical to the OKH track.
