There are no wild rainbow trout there. All are stocked

There are wild rainbow and brown trout all over the nantahala river from the headwaters to the white water section on the lower. The lower actually has one of the highest wild trout populations of any river in NC

Rainbows and browns are not native to NC but they do naturally reproduce in the Nantahala and other NC rivers. So if you mean by wild trout, stream raised trout, there are wild rainbows in the river.
