Love these cars and great work on yours, I’m thinking of buying one in the near future, anything besides common the wear and tear what issues that I should be aware of with these cars before purchasing?

same price I paid for mine in 2013, mine had the sports package though! I had a lot of fun with my r129 for many years, got my r230 in 2021.

I have a 2011 sl550 and it's not that bad with tech stuff once you get used to it, problem is the ABC suspension will cause problems down the road at some point and luckily mine does not have the disctronic crap on it. I will tell you why I also wanted an r230 though....POWER FOLDING CONVERTIBLE TOP, the r129 top situation on mine made the car unlovable, cracked my hard top glass, you name it, it sucked. However, my r129 was really neglected by its previous owners, sad, they let it sit out in the sun so some of the dash pieces cracked.

Yep I hate the fact I have to have 2 people whenever I want to take my top off!

@@K3VtheG and the headlight style, the parking lights fly off or crack after time, because they are separate pieces, replaced them twice I think. Positive with the r129 though, the interior was more solid than the r230, r230 has plastic roof instead of fabric, it makes more creaking sounds and the convertible parts make noise in the back of an r230 as well, but that can be fixed.

I'm trying to match exactly what you did with your exhaust. What are the specs to the X pipe and brabus muffler? and are these easy to find out ebay? Thanks!

The x pipe is custom made from a fabrication shop, it’s 2.75 inch pipe The muffler I found on eBay! They were purchased from a private seller on Ebay, unfortunately i don't know how easy they are to find.

It’s my daily! I use it as a mobile detailing setup as well! I don’t really have any common problems I’ve run into, but I did have my water pump bearing go out a few weeks ago 😅

I have the same car. Do you need spacers for the Performa 25? Looks like you need shorter lugs for the rears. What size tires are you running?

I am running 12mm spacers in the rear and 8mm in the front, 215/45/17 in the front and 245/45/17 in the rear!

I guess it depends on the style of rims you want, I found mine from a private seller on EBay. As far as body kits go I tend to stay away from them because the fitment is just not very good on most kits I’ve seen

No complaints so far! The ride is a bit tighter than factory, but still pleasant
