Hi there, how does the Sabo Deadlift shoe fit, is it typically true to size, or does one need get a half size increase? Nice vid btw

The original deadlift fits a bit small, generally if you are between sizes I would recommend going up, especially if your foot is wide.

I have been told the drop in the deadlift pro is very noticeable, and the rubber is a little slippier in bench press. Do you agree with this?

Hi there, Ryan from Inner Strength. I have been wearing a prototype of the Pros for over a year now and I have never noticed a drop in the shoes. Sabo says the 1mm heel compresses when standing in it. I've also found them to be completely grippy, almost glued to the floor.

I've heard deadlift panda, ssj Bob and a few others say there is a noticable drop in the deadlift pro so not completely flat and they have said they wouldn't use for bench compared to the original because it slips a little more so the original might be a better bet

Would you say the Deadlift Pros be the best shoe for all three lifts?

They are an excellent option for all three lifts yes. The Heavy Duty might be a bit better having a more rigid upper if you have a lot of foot torque in squats.

Have had the original sabo for years just noticed that the removable insole was sliding towards my heel and not covering the toes anymore on my right foot so I took it out and felt fine but don't know how it will fair wear and tear wise. The insole is removable and I hadn't noticed for years so it most have been fine quality anyway but wondering if anyone else takes out the insoles too?

I usually take my insoles out personally. I don't think you should have an issue.

From my uneducated (on boxing footwear) opinion the Sabo Deadlifts and PowerMix are similiarly made to what I've seen from a boxing show/boot. The PowerMix is slightly higher top so might be the closest.

The only thing that stops me from getting lifting shoes is my size 14 EE foot. You had stated you’ve a wider foot in the past, care to share your size and experience with finding an appropriate size for lifting shoes?

I have about a 10.5 foot EE, although, I haven't had that width measured so I just measured myself and found an online guide.

And you didn’t need to size up? I think the highest size sabo goes to is 14. lol

I wear a 43 in all Sabo shoes, the original deadlifts are quite narrow and uncomfortable for a while until they break in. The Pro Deadlift and the Weightlift are comfortable within a few workouts. I also wear a 43 in a birkenstock, a 10.5 in a Nike running shoe. If any of that helps.

Whats the thickness (mm) of the flat soles?

They are all very thin, I don't have a measurement I'm sorry, 1-2mm I would guess.

Would you recommend the powerlift for wider feet? Especially at the toe box?

I have fairly wide feet (Ryan) and I found the Weightlift and Powerlift comfortable right from the start.

Anyone use the good lifts for squats as well as deadlifts? I know that they are great for squats, but was wanting one shoe to do both

Did all 3 in them for 5 years. Felt amazing! Would recommend a different shoe for benching as the leather made it pretty difficult to get into the right foot position while setting up. Other than that, best shoe ever IMO
