I mean it's not like you can't play Winston with a Dva. You just gotta not be bad at Winston. Place your shield properly, punish mistakes, that sort of thing. If you honestly chose Dva JUST for Winston, that's on you. You can counter pick to up your chances, but there's always a way to play around that pick, while also still keeping your ultimate, essentially now you can punish counter picking more. Say they do switch Dva, your entire team has ult now and they don't, next team fight you can just ult the swapper and send them back to spawn again, staggering them in the process.

This is a tank buff in disguise, ironically. This puts the tank ahead in ult charge of his counters, so he can either ult and switch faster or outright clap back.

The only reason a doomfist would be getting a health pack is when the majority of his team is dead. So, I don't really understand the argument that it's used to get health packs. Doesn't make much sense to me. If you have healers, you don't need to get health packs. So, the doomfist can use it offensively. @@ThePallasAthene

The reticle update is seriously what I wanted the most for my Ana and Ramattra. I have a specific reticle I use for projectile weapons that require leaning to aim at moving targets, but it makes it hard to use for hitscan scope shots and shotgun-like weapons. I hope they can work this to Sojourn as well, perhaps when the railgun charge is at a certain percentage the reticle will update to a different setting.

i feel like they should keep the faster firing rate while double firing but instead reduce the damage . like the sound of the weapon fireing faster was amazing. now that the damage is buffed and that the spread is more consistent i think nerfing the damge back to 3.5 would work. you would still be uping your damage by around 80%

METEOR STRIKE needs to have more impact....remember how uppercut used to lock people in an animation maybe his ult should do something similar. Splashing the opponents into the air for a few seconds. Then you could do some combos like doom ult + high noon or something like that. Or instead of air stun lock uppercut ...something like seismic slam when he lands it splashes everyone pulling them inwards. Scale the strength of the pull to the center point. With a slow effect on the outside. At least with this idea he can combo and play like a tank instead of "using ult as an escape"...sigh fail of ult if it's just a run away button. Only would have worked as a dps but he is a tank now. @KarQ thoughts?

That Mercy change is much appreciated. Anyone who is a (good) Mercy main understands that sometimes you don't ult because you know the beam break is going to cause the person you're healing to die, so you just hold your ultimate

It is still much better to use doom ult as an escape as you just get slept or something on landing and get deleted even with the heal. This means the changes are a net nerf as the ult charges slower. Also, healers on a dooms team will get slightly less ult charge as when doom lands from ult asking for heals, it is free ult charge.

Frankly, I think Brig is just gonna be dead until the mid season patch. Not because of the damage nerf to whip shot, that's not that big of a deal, but because the Winston change. Previously, she was a great second support to run against dive, because you could run her alongside someone like Ana, Illari or Lifeweaver and help keeping them alive against dives. But since the meta is 100% gonna be Winston dive for the next few months and Winston is now a hardcounter to Brig since him ignoring armour and barriers basically just means he can kill her as quickly as any other 200 hp hero whilst she doesn't have the kind of mobility or CC that would allow her to escape, I don't see her having much of a usecase. I think people are just gonna run more slippery supports like Moira, Kiriko or Lucio in the second slot since they are also decently effective at dueling dive dps but have much better odds of actually getting away from a Winston. If it weren't for the fact that Ana is so good at supporting Dive, we probably would also start seeing her get phased out in favour of Bap but I don't see teams wanting to sacrifice Nano and Nade.

@@mekacrab My dude, Winstons gun does 60 damage per second. Brigittes passive heals 15. Also, she cannot trigger her passive through barriers. She does not "litterally" heal more than she takes. The damage a Winston can put out every second is literally four times as high as the healing from her passive. Which, mind you, is her only source of self-healing. At best, Brig can delay her inevitable demise from being zapped by 1.1 seconds. At worst, that is if the Winston uses his dome to cut her off and is able to play the angles to prevent her from getting a clean hit without the barrier inbetween, then she dies just as quickly as an Ana would. Which is genuinely problematic because Brigs entire kit relies on her being able to stay alive.

Plus, doing so also means he probably gets a free kill on the second support, and the whole point of running Brig is her ability to allow more vulnerable supports to function against dive. Again, I just don't see the point of using her in the meta that will likely develop this season. Someone like Lucio is probably gonna be better value than a Brig who has to run from dives.

They nerfed attack speed for when firing both guns. It had +25% attack speed buff which helped shredding tanks and now there's no buff whatsoever (0%). That's how they nerfed him against tanks.

Whilst the brig nerf isn't the biggest I reckon the Winston buff is just a death sentence for her. Sure the armour change is targeted at tanks, but not everyone with armour is a tank. Also, how on earth is she the top performing support in the season of "pick at least 1 of bap & Ana or you lose"?

Because she is rarely played in most ranks, those who do are usually doing it for a certain comp or are a one trick. This leads to high win rate vs ana who is the most played support but one of the lowest win rates last season. It's just a matter of averages. It's not because Brig was super strong.

so tired of them nerfing Brig who is already NEVER the optimal pick, she feels like she has no place in the game already as the better supports just have more mechanics than her, no anti-heal, no cleanse, no real mobility, no wall climbing or vertical mobility of any kind, no immortality, no immunity, sub-par healing, doesn't "counter" anyone she's just good against Rein and Doom, limp noodle damage that can no longer accomplish its purpose of countering dive DPS characters. so she accomplishes nothing while providing a character that is so badly countered by certain characters that the act of playing her can damn near single handedly throw a game if the enemy team chooses to punish you for it instead of just being happy you aren't playing a better support.

We use meteor strike to go for health packs because the ult is utterly shit, it doesn't deal good damage, the slow effect is absolutely useless, and it's easily avoided/countered. This change will only make us use it even more passively, because the more time in the air the more spread the enemy team is(less overhealth/damage/slow) and the more predictable it's going to become. Of course knowing shitzzard this is the only ""buff"" that doom will be getting for the next 3 seasons, while still receiving nerfs

The ones who have anything to say on dooms dont play him and are happy cuz they know his ult is nothing to be worried about. That was just more of a buff to his already escape tool that they clearly know is disappointing. The adjustment doesn’t solve the damage/lack of kill potential with his ult. A tank ult should almost be good at killing not another base left click right click damage ability. And I say that cuz thats how dooms ult hits like….a basic ability not a ult😂

Tbh the survivability part would’ve been to make his block better more immunity cuz it’s his only defensive tools cuz he has no shields. Most things shouldn’t go though his block but they do and it can cost him his life instantly for it, too many things like that in this game so buff his block. Then they could focus more on the damage side of his ult🤷🏾‍♂️

idk, before you would have to choose if you wanted to use the ult offensively OR if you wanted to use it as an extra life, now you can do both. ult cost is going from 1680 -> 1949 so an increase by 269 points. the healing you get allows you to stay after you ult instead of disengaging, so if you're able to do 269 damage after an ult with that extra hp it means that you generate ults just as fast but was able to get an extra 269 damage for free because of the uptime from the healing (in other words a buff).

@@albingrahn5576 The quantity problem is the damage side of his ult, its mediocre and can easily be out-healed, giving numbers on health i guess is a good qol change just staying alive longer. But it doesn’t make sense how they say the ult is disappointing in terms of best way to use it then just make u live longer? Thats not really a gas change to the ult when you still face the same issues. The ult doesn’t perform well on the damage side, idk make him come down quicker or increase the slam radius damage. Damage is the issue. Oh you wanna land on a healer and they have a flget out of jail free card and i hit them with baby damage. If they buff the damage and i atleast get one or two but still die I made more value for my team then just having my efforts get out-healed and back to square one.

@@tannersiemens2739 the thing is, he was strong before the buffs, but their were major issues that are addressed here: he was to squishy on his run and could easily be beamed down with damage or a stun like Rhinehart; on single targets he was fine but in a group his health regen passive and ability struggled to keep up with damage taken, especially if they had Ana, zen, orisa, any kind of stun, eta.; and in general he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if his target wasn't in shotgun range, which is dumb considering chainguns are used for sustained damage at range.

Indeed. That one aspect makes the change a net nerf instead of a buff. You get your ultimate less frequently which prevents you from going in as often as you used to able to.

Ana Nade has a lower cooldown, and it has multiple uses, it does heal for 60 and dmg for 50, while also increasing the healing for a 60% over 3,5s and making enemies unable to heal for the same time. Kiriko does only do something for the team. The immortality is basically half a second stop crying about everything, the healings are way to much i agree, they should have made max. 80. Overall and the Cleanse was needed with all of the horrible ccs that there are in the game + Sombra Emp does now counter Kiriko if targetted first since she can't use suzu for 3s

The majority of Suzu throws are already followed by healing when good Kiri play is enforced. You stagger out the Ofuda and then throw. This buff means nothing unless you are a tank, and last I checked everyone wants tank buffs (they don’t actually but they think it makes the game magically good)

The immortality is literally half a second. The cleanse was needed in a game like ow. The healings are just not needed. Or at this point, make suzu heal 100hp all time, and cleanse without the immortality. (Even bc it couldn't be only a cleanse since there are some team comps that doesn't have cc / negative effects).

@@mekacrab the same way everyone else counterplays stuns, a short invulnerability or a shield. Balls shield doesn't act like a shield in most interactions, so it can't block stuns, the only thing you can do is hope they miss as you never shoot and never use piledriver, because those make you a sitting duck. Stuns literally insta kill ball, that's not an interaction that should happen with tanks, they should be able to tank. I dont give a shit if balls damage or health gets nerfed, I just want counterplay to stuns so I dont have to spend the entirety of the game sitting behind a wall or rolling around randomly, hoping the enemy misses all of their stuns, just so I can finally play the game.

There’s nothing really to buff him on. Teleport, wraith and blossom are fine. Buff his healing or damage, you’ve just made every tank main quit. Reaper was one of the very few tank counters who actually got nerfed to make it fair on the one tank. Everyone else got left untouched, but to then buff the definitive tank counter would be doomsday.

I'm cool with pretty much everything but the Sombra and Kiriko changes. EMP isn't fun because it locks people out of abilities, that just makes it more frustrating to play against. I would've rather they buffed the damage back to 40%. For Kiriko, the devs don't seem to understand what her issues are. Imo the problem with Kiri is less so the suzu, and more so her insane heal output coupled with her effortless escape option with Swift Step. Buffing her healing this significantly is such a wild change with little rhyme or reason. If anything, Kiri's healing should've been nerfed from 13 to 11 and her Swift Step should've gotten an extra second or 2 on it's cooldown to make punishing an out of position Kiriko easier. Imo a massive problem with the game right now is that it's becoming too forgiving to player error. There are so many get-out-of-jail free cards and such a massive amount of raw healing that it's so much harder to punish the enemy's poor positioning or gameplay.

Yes, it feels awful... Basically every other tank can just heal on cool downs/ have more HP/can block damage completely/ and do more damage than doom.... And now can generate their ults faster too.... But at least you can heal if you hold meteor strike in the air for the full 4 secs which then you lose the value of the VERY few kills you could get by using it almost instantly before..... And then of course pretty much every support can hard counter /insta kill /out heal you or the damage you put out.
