No like seriously this guy does not look like Mau- Oh hey there! Sorry about that, I'm just trying to... forget... Any ways, hello and welcome to my circus where the main clown today will be your favorite (or not) wide man Mauga! His weapons hot and spicy yet not dangerous at all! Physique just as good as the hair, and don't forget about the lack of brain! Charismatic tank, but a painful gameplay experience, all of that and more in todays review from the awful game Overwatch 2. one thing that bothers me greatly about mauga is his lack of skins. he released only with recolors. like ... why did we not get an epic talon heavy skin? why do we STILL not have it? or his Hawaiian shirt? we didn't even get his current talon skin with the black shirt that was shown in his cinematic video. on top of his lackluster design and abilities, what a disappointment.

I agree that Mauga’s character is kinda dumb. However you skipped over the double jump overrun tech (idk what it’s called) that lets Mauga hold interesting off angles on high ground that’s usually inaccessible to tanks, that aren’t Winston or Dva, without needing a teammate to go Lifeweaver. I personally find that part of his kit really fun and I’m sad that I haven’t seen much discussion of it since he came out.

immature it may be, i do like his personality, big guy likes to shoot, i'm a simple guy. it's the reason I've been wanting him to be playable since he was revealed (and we almost got him when sigma dropped) but yeah I noticed that when I was playing him that it kinda felt like I didn't have anything I could really do as him. the stun from the jump didn't last long enough to do anything with, the healing feels negligible, and his ult really just does feel like you're trapping yourself with someone rather than the other way around. combine that with him being hitscan and needing good tracking, which is something I, a junkrat player, do not have, and I'm just disappointed. He looks like he should have all the power in the world, but then you kinda get in there, do nothing, and die.

As wierd as it may be i really like mauga (i don't play this game), because he reminds me of the Iron Bull from Dragon Age, big strong guy with big weapon who it's not dumb, but it wants to be seen as such because it gets peoples guards down and it's easier to manipulate poeple who subestimate you, (take it with a grain of salt) but what makes those two interesting to me it's that they have an air of selective brutality, and are aware of what whold benefit them the most and get there by manipulation. That's a bit of a ramble, but yeah.

I kinda like his simple design but i get where you are coming from. His charge feels so weird to controll and that throws me off when playing and his inability to not die in a teamfight longer than 2 seconds is rlly annoying. but on the other hand we cant buff him because hes so simple being based off of minigun damage and high hp and hes so easy to hit so he still falls over easily

Idk what could actually fix him... maybe a block ability like doomfist to give him so that he can kinda reduse the amount of damage he takes in a fight so he can stall for heals or smt? i rlly dont see how else you could fix him also can we like change/ lower his spiciifc crit noise when he hits a burning player? cause thats rlly annoying

@@thegrimmreaperbutsans3225 Keep him strong but rework his healing to not be strictly tied to how much raw damage he does. Maybe make cardiac shoot out a ring of fire that is only blocked by barriers and LOS, then for the duration of the ability you heal at 30 hps for every enemy you light on fire (or 200% of burn damage). This way if you're just a tank 1v1-ing him and he uses cardiac, he only gets a fifth of the healing he would get in the middle of a team, and the only extra sustain he gets is from the passive (which can also be buffed to counter his weakness to anti healing). He could also get a Wrecking Ball-esque indicator for when he's surrounded by a certain number of people, so you can more easily know when to use cardiac at the opportune time.

the fact that more than half of the newly reworked or added heros are so painful to play as and against and annoying that it sucks when there meta is concerning for the game, mauga is mauga life weavers design is so brilliant! they combined annoying get out of jail free cards and cc but its pink and the cc is on the wrong side, kirikos got two get out of jail free cards because one isn't enough, shes small and anoying and just counters everything new hog is hog new sombra, the hero that leaves you crippled and teleports away when you tickle her new orisa. is orisa the only well designed heros i can think of is ramattra and maybe junker queen but they are meta like all the time and the game feels like your being crucified? the rest are just filler characters tbh.
