Also that part with Junkrat being that far up front, I have no idea what he was doing, I was just trying to keep him alive through that craziness. I have that problem a lot myself either as tank or support. Sometimes I find myself in places I don’t want to be because of someone else that’s way out of position and end up putting myself at risk trying to get them back to safety or whatever when really I should probably just let it be and stay safe. Nice video in any case! I can’t play D.va well at all but I would really like to just so I have the option of using her without feeling like I am going to hold back the team, so it’s nice to have references like this. (Also you got blamed for dropping your matrix on the Reaper ult when really you just ran out, I noticed but was hoping he’d realise before the end!)

despite what stylosa said, you had multiple dva bomb opportunities to engage whenever their reinhardt overextended, their reaper used cooldowns, and the rest of their team was on point and you couldve bombed earlier even :)

Hi I am a master d.va player with over500hrs on her in comp and the best advice I can give you is before yeeting a bomb wait for the zarya bubbles. Moira fade . Reaper wraith etc. You will always be guaranteeing picks for your team before you push.

6:16 honestly I think the dva did almost everything right here. Shoot the reins back so he's pincered while fire strike was easily reactable to dm. When he shattered the team, dva went to eat the fire strike (looks like she missed it though) and then went in front of the rein to take the pin for her squishies.

Not sure if it was already brought up but around 16:10 when you mention keeping the defense matrix up for as long as possible against reaper, they had just used it to cover the teams push into the the side room. Although the cool down was ready the energy bar for the matrix didn't have time to refill hence the quick drop off of the reaper ult. If you watch it again you can see that the bar barely has any charge when they have to pop it the second time. So they did follow your advice, it just didn't have enough charge to eat reapers ult in a meaningful way.

16:14 the D.va ran out of DM to get everyone into the cave so there was nothing that can be done. the bar indicates how much was left and there was none. 17:18 The Mei wall came in Clutch for that bomb. It was position up high as possible and by removing it it change the position. It also doesn't help that sigma took out the barrier and rein couldn't turn in time.

Because it rewards for wrongdoings. People take it as positive feedback and JUST KEEP FKING DOING IT. This probably only works like 4 out of 10 times, not more. 30:55 I would just ult towards the pillar with the element of surprise instead of alert them first then ult. I am pretty sure if this was done it would get at least 1 or 2 kills. I think this is not bad, but the teammate sometimes just goes cuckoo forcing D.va to react and help the teammate. Disclaimer: I used to main D.VA until they changed her too much, but I think what I said above should still apply.

That dva bomb was actually combo’ed with mei wall, the wall blocked rein from shielding the team and sigma’s barrier was in front of it as well. Idk if this was on purpose or not lmao

When you are able to react and have defense matrix available, if a junkrat tire is going after the enemy and rein could fire strike it or anyone could attack it. just absorb the attack with matrix and then tire gets through safely

that D.Va bomb was pretty good, if not a bit late actually. The enemy rein being so far up in the frontline means he cant protect his team, and the bomb can zone off his team's support even if it doesnt kill anybody directly, making the rein a complete free kill

@9:37 However, keep in mind that using the bomb after sigma has lifted you will pull you out of Sigma's ult, and you will take 0 damage from it as pilot dva. If Sigma's ulting with no barrier, and no cover, your bomb can kill him. Might not be the solution here, because Sigma is in a doorway, and the ult would have just made him go around the corner to escape. I can't recall off the top of my head if the bomb detonates fast enough to cancel sigma's ult, after he lifts you.

I had a game on eichenwalde where near the second points a Dva sent a bomb through the whole at the top of the door and our Reinhardt with a fully charged shield sat there without it out. We still won the game but we would’ve done it much better.

16:14 Not sure if this is relevant but sometimes when Im on DVA the defence matrix only stays up for a split second and other times lasts longer, this could be technical ability or a bug. ie Im shooting, pop up matrix but still holding to shoot cancels it or accidental double click?? But thats what it looked like happened here. If firing with matrix on cancels it that might be the issue for me and this player, we reflex the matrix while we are still firing cancelling the matrix.

DM has a seperate 'resource' as well as the cool down, it is the little green bar thing on right mid of the screen. It recharges pretty fast but it can definitely run out. thats whats happening to you

I cant stress enough how much grouping up is important it is my most spammed thing in a game because I find that about 90% of my games people dont group up at all and all split off and do their own thing and even with spamming it people dont pay attention to it. I got messaged today after a game being told how terrible I was at healing them as Mercy but they werent even on the point with everyone else and were off by themselves for no reason. I had to make them aware that a good majority of Mercy's maneuverability/escaping relies on team mates and their positioning but they got mad because I didnt pocket heal them the whole match. Also advised them that Mercy's ultimate also relies on a team grouping up to get the chain healing/damage buff. I then had to advise them they when they are being healed by Mercy it shows Mercy's health on their screen so they can assist her if they see her taking damage to continue the healing they're receiving. It's so frustrating when you know how to play as a character and what team requirements best support this and being stuck in gold because of people forgetting to group up and also forgetting that supports need support too.
