Team fortress 2 shorts gave me joy, overwatch shorts gave me tears... no other games peaked as much as these 2 games. I fully reccommend to watch all shorts aviable from them.

I would say that Shooting Star is worth watching. If you didn’t know, Moira was part of Blackwatch and is now with Talon. Mei is with Overwatch. If Mei and Moira are on the same team you can hear a dialogue wear Moira asks Mei about the effects on cryogenic freezing (how everyone died) and Mei starts crying 😢. There is a pajama Mei skin and the outfit she wore when she climbed the tower things available in the game. Ecopoint Antarctica is also a map in game for 1v1s and Elimination. Haley is a great recap specialist. Hype!!!!!!!!

You guys have a few more overwatch animated shorts to watch. Shooting Star the D.VA cinematic. Reunion the Ashe and McCree cinematic. Zero Hour the Overwatch 2 announcement cinematic. There is also a Junkrat and Roadhog short which is really funny. Edit: BTW Ecopoint Antarctica is a map in Overwatch. Another note, Blackwatch was a special ops divisions of Overwatch. Blackwatch was lead by Gabriel Reyes (Reaper). They did some shady stuff. Other members of Blackwatch are McCree, Genji, and Moira.

i had my wife watch this, and the whole time she was just "that's not logical" and uninterested. The moment with snowball, she started screaming and paused it and sobbing and screamed why would you make me watch this why would they do that? And it took me like a whole day to convince her that it ends better, she just needs to stick through it. She didn't believe me and I never saw her care so much about a story or cry so hard before. She's very logical and just doesn't get connected to fiction like that. Such a strong moment.

Also 3) cryogenic stasis is illogical, but floating robots aren't? I think your wife also needs to recalibrate her suspension of disbelief =)

Like most of the other animated shorts, this takes place on one of the game levels (Ecopoint: Antarctica). After this short was released, they updated the map to add the coffee mugs in front of the malfunctioning cryo chambers.

If you guys do one day play Overwatch I highly recommend playing the story modes that your only able to play during April. These story modes also will help answer your questions about Overwatch lore like, “what happened to Overwatch that made it disbanded?” Btw I also recommend reacting to the Overwatch animated short “Zero Hour” once your done reacting to all the other animated shorts so that your watching them in chronological order.

@gmineo Dr. Mei Ling Zhao and her associates were climatologists working out of an Overwatch base (Ecopoint: Antarctica). Overwatch charged them with monitoring the atmosphere for anomalies in the changing climate and to help keep the planet habitable for Humans and Omnics. When playing as Mei, you can tell she's not really a combatant the way she holds her gun and often sways it, showing she hasn't developed a steady hand from experience.

To give some context: The cryochambers failed because the batteries started failing one by one over the years. Mei would've also died if not for Winston's message. Because there was only one battery left, there was only one cryochamber left operational basically.

Not sure if comments have said this, but it is speculated that as the power slowly ran out the Cryo chambers one by one shut down and so the people died, May was lucky that , one, hers was the last one and two, Winston's message was picked up, forcing the computer to wake someone.

I have a theory that Winston ended up saving Mei. My belief is that the batteries were dying, leading to one cryo pod after another being shut down and hers would have shut down soon but the emergency broadcast led to the system trying to activate any functional cryo pods.

Important!!! Before you watch the final cinematic (Zero Hour) you should watch the origin stories for the heroes so you know who everyone is! They're short so you could easily crank out at least 3 per vid, and not every hero has one.
