I really really don't get why Winston is compared to Orisa at all. His shield serves a completely different purpose and actually serves better for what it's used for. An addition to that Winston fills a completely different role and in no way competes with Orisa.

One simple change that would make Winston more viable, and make his shield bubble more unique/work differently than the current barriers and Orisas incoming barrier, is to make Winstons bubble barrier non-breakable from the inside. That simple change would make it immensely more useful, but not OP at all. Imagine you drop it on a D.va ult, and it doesn't break, meaning there's still that measely shield left to shield teammates a little longer. Or you jump in and drop it on the enemy team, they're stuck in the bubble for a little while, while fighting, and they can't break the bubble from the inside. They are forced to move through/out of it.

Dalton Gaming Orisa kinda does zaryas job in a way. I'd say replace Zaria with roadhog and you would be correct. Orisa only has 400 health so if you can pull her out of position and kill her with the hook, that would be very effective.

Orisa will be very hard to hook. She is a back line tank with an array of long range weapons and abilities plus she has fortify which directly counters the hook. If anything she is the tank best suited for killing Hog other than another Hog.

That choke on Hanamura is already pretty tricky with Mei walls+Rein shield combo. Now imagine all three of them together. No rein shield? Mei puts up a wall, Mei wall down? Orisa drops a barrier. Just continue the rotation ad infinitum; they all give each other plenty of recovery time.

Kylo yesterday when I was playing placement matches I played tracer for a full match (keep in mind I haven't played for a while) and to me, her blink recharge seemed much longer than usual. I think a longer timer for her shield is needed. Her barrier is like Winston's bubble but more useful. Winston Jumps in and puts his barrier down and then jumps out. His bubble is normally off cool down and and sits ready for a bit of time while monkey finds some healing. Orissa's barrier is always on cool down because right when it's ready the old old one is destroyed and the player is already looking for a spot to put the new one. She may be blocking a bit too much damage. A few seconds longer may make it so that when paired with a Rein shield, the opposing team is actually allowed a chance to attack without their damage being perpetually blocked.

The thing about barriers, and the devs keep addressing this, but few seem to catch on, is that they are huge targets that are virtually impossible to miss, even with guns that have large spread or projectiles that are very slow. This means that we can remove the accuracy part of the equation when determining DPS against a barrier. Heroes like Junkrat, Bastion, Roadhog, Pharah, and Sombra have huge potential damage outputs that are often overlooked because it's difficult to land every single pellet/projectile. But against a barrier, that isn't just feasible, it's normal. These heroes can just tear through barriers. Not to mention, Junkrat and Pharah can shoot their explosives over the top of barriers. Sombra can delete them with her EMP, and prevent them from being placed with Hack. Bastion is... Bastion. These "off-meta" picks are powerful against the Orisa+Reinhardt combo, because their specific skills are more useful. But people are stubborn. They see the pros do something and copy it to the letter, without really considering WHY the pros do things that way. People won't switch off a tank for an extra DPS to deal with barriers because "tanks are meta". People won't choose Sombra over Soldier because "Soldier is meta". Refusing to adapt is what loses games, but people believe they are right, even when they run Reinhardt with a team that really doesn't need him against an enemy that can deal with his barrier.

Honestly sty, I think you're thinking to linear with Orisa. From my gameplay, she's been great on attack as an alternative initiater by throwing down the shield infront of theirs and getting in the face of enemy team. Fortify is made to counter abilities like charge, freeze and flashbang, so having the short immunity allows the team to power forward with most of the heat being drawn off. As long as orisa gets the focus of the enemy, pocket healing can sustain her well, and dps can work off of the space she creates. Just try experimenting with her more as a front/mid line tank

i will agree that reinhardt hasnt been replaced. Reinhardt creates a more clear line which enemies cannot cross. This is unrelated to the video but Reinhardt is basically a must pick in masters or higher to win. Maybe to nerf him but not too much is to when he misses his charge, he takes ~50 damage. And healers can heal this but won't get alt charge from it because it can be exploited. This can be helpful so Reinhardt don't just use their charge whenever the cool down comes off. Just my opinion. Hopefully someone see's this

Ive been playing a lot of Sombra recently. It's difficult to flank and get close enough to shut down a Bastion or Rein without taken damage and having your hack interrupted. Usually I can pick off a healer or soldier because they are usually out of position. If that fails, I've already wasted 20 seconds and have to repeat the process. They need to reduce the time it takes to leave invisibility while trying to hack. That slight delays gives the enemy ample time to react before your hack is completed. Or they should raise her damage slightly. Making her a viable dps. At least one could get a quick enough pick and translocate before the cool down is up.

Now we need a barrier breaking hero. Imagine if we get Doomfist and he gets an ability that workd kind of like a Genji dash and as he crashes into the barrier he gets to destroy it with one punch. I see her halt+earthshatter being a combination to make Rein's ult hit easier since if it works like Zarya's ult then it slightly lifts them off the ground and enemy Rein barrier won't block it. Would mean less wasted ultimates from Reinhardt. Reinhardt now might have trouble blocking enemy Rein ultimates.... That is if it works like graviton surge does. Tank meta isn't going anywhere anytime soon because Winston and Orisa both have deployable barriers that won't be lifted and can block ults. I can see what most teams will look like now. Though Orisa would also strengthen dive comps really well if used properly as well being able to throw a shield from a distance and the way the shield is designed it can be useful to stop flankers from hitting your healers much like how Zarya's bubble works in a way if you react in time in some situations. I think a lot of people will use her a lot like Rein at first then start using her unique kit to play her to her full advantage after a little time.

she might not be as good at pushing to the point as reinhart but I think your problem was that you kept trying to push at the top. if you pushed through the front, you couldve thrown your shield forward, far forward, and then your team can follow and jump down to the bottom, the shield will most likely get destroyed really quickly but you would have enough time. Then, if someone trys coming down there or anywhere close, blackhole them to pull them down and kill them. Now you would have your shield back, you can go up the stairs, barrier, then damage boost, and then your team would rip through them, easy victory.

Rein + Mei is already really difficult to break on Hanamura. Now if you add orisa, i'm not sure you can even get through. Mei can just block the up entrance while Rein and Orisa can block the main entrance. Even a dive comp can't break that without getting some of their players isolated by mei's wall.

maybe the key to busting through these barriers will be a ana an a orisa boosting turret form bastion? I really hope THAT goes live honestly XD doing two bastions worth of damage is INSANE thats like over 1000 DPS. plus ALLOT of damage resistance being backed up by heals. I WOULD LOVE to see that drop in front of a choke point full of big meaty tanks.

Honestly, I think we're going to see a surge in dive comps against this setup. Orisa is helpless against quick flankers and slow moving targets in general are weak against divers.
