Hey just chiming in on Sotuh America, i'm a player from Brazil. At least here overwatch definetly has been less popular competitely since Valorant release. Brazil had a big CS scene and Valorant picked a lot of that and i guess a lot of overwatch players too. Riot also has a bigger presence here because of LoL. But we do have servers and a good casual community

I love Avrl and Jake both, but I gotta admit Jake should take it down a notch or two. He cuts people off very often and after a while that can get frustrating not only to the people he does it to but even as a viewer. Of course with that being said, Avrl himself isn't perfect either. I say this mainly because I struggle heavily with ADHD and can be very impulsive so I often cut people off too even when I don't mean too (It's literally a neurobiological disorder, to an extent I can't help myself sometimes). In my head a thought pops up that I think is important to say and I just impulsively say it sometimes without thinking, but at the same time I take accountability for it. Not only do I apologize to whoever I cut off but I continue to try and better myself and do my best to make a conscious effort to wait my turn to speak. I love Jake and he's a valuable mind and great to have around in OW esports but I fear because of his success he subconsciously automatically thinks his takes/insight is more valuable than others (in this case being Avrl) where he impulsively cuts them off to speak his truth. Although his insight is indeed valuable I wish he would be more mindful of others and just try to be a little more considerate. I put myself in his shoes and I can understand his excitment and passion when talking about OW but it's important to not get ahead of yourself and share that excitment at the expense of others. All that being said I just want to be clear I love Avrl and Jake both and this isn't a shot at Jake at all. Not everyone is perfect and people make mistakes. Not to mention that interrupting someone isn't some grave sin or something, but if done a lot over time especially without taking accountability it can definitely start to strain relationships and that's the last thing I want for them. Anyways, it was a great show guys! Love you guys as always!

I think it's on Jonny to mediate more actively in a setting like this. Jake and Avrl are gonna go at each other nonstop if you let them, and Jake was quicker and more decisive so Avrl felt like he was being shut down. All it takes is a quick word from Jonny to tell Jake to wait his turn and the problem is solved. Same thing goes the other way.
@spookyow

As a huge Toronto fan last year, I really hated the smack talk after every win and complete boomed silence after all the losses - the bravado felt undeserved and immature. Players like Hydron and Coluge were so easily boomed and the ones that were quieter and just trying to focus looked like they struggling to mentally block out their teammates when they would talk smack, focusing on the big picture. I wish the team invested in a sports psychologist to help them with their mental game. It was difficult watching their body language deteriorate during matches. Roll the weak teams and smack talk like they are gods and then get stomped and look like so pathetically defeated. Peak Hydron is so amazing to watch, but boomed Hydron hurts. As much as people hype up the "former champs" aspect of the current team - their mental game is what impresses me the most, and it looked like they had that whether they were champs or veterans or not.

Jake calling Avrl out on his BS, and Avrl then proceeds to cry!! What in the fck is going on 🤣🤣. Jake is the goat, my guy plays at a level Avrl will never reach. It's not that he's trying to be mean or anything. But if you want to push your ideals to a Former Pro Player, and coach. You need to be able to say why your insight on the game, is better than those with actual experience. V1 Take the fight, debate, or just say nothing.
@yxnito
@yxnito 5 ай бұрын
38:40 Love the guy but IMO Jake couldn’t be more wrong with this take on the last second patches. 1) The level of play in the NA/EMEA main event was so bad because no team had time to really practice anything. Why would you have an esport scene if the games are going to look just like your average ranked game? 2) His main argument is, that the lack of practice on a patch decreases the chance of mirror matches. But everything that players and coaches were saying would indicate that having no preparation time basically forces teams to instantly mirror a comp they’re losing to because they don’t have the time to come up with a counter or any alternatives.
