@@redstonewarrior0152i managed to do it on a multiplier server, although I don’t remember how much this specific one multiplied by. I was using fists of steel, and had managed to convince the server that made me invincible (I had just pointed out that the constant explosives spam on me didn’t work because of the FoS, and conveniently didn’t mention that melee would atomize me). I sat on the cart for a while and had some nice and fun conversations as it rose, and left after the next round started.

He nailed it exactly. Overwatch is designed from the ground up to be a full team experience. If even one player doesn't play ball, it feels bad. You can be having a flawless KDA, been playing to the objective all match, been the MvP of the game hands down and still feel like garbage because the autofill that rolled tank decided to go Hamtaro Spiderpig and just swing from a rafter near the bell hoping to get environmental kills for his sick Overwatch pro montage. Or maybe your DPS decided to pick Genji because someone else insta-locked Widowmaker and spends the entire game "training his jumps". In TF2 if you have a shitter on the team, you often don't even notice. Even if you do, chances are you don't care. You're there to have fun.

We have customs in Overwatch now but its nothing like TF2

Just hit max border level 3,000 in Overwatch (took 3,003 hours) In overwatch especially the lower ranks, people often DO treat the match like team deathmatch, and the tanks end up determining who wins based on whoever shoves their way onto the objective/point. In higher ranks, it's absolutely about working as a team, you're only as strong as your weakest link. If you got a flanker team mate dicking around doing nothing, you're essentially playing a 5v6 and that can tip the scales in enemy's favor

Yeah, same problem with MOBAs. I’ve had people literally give up because I picked a non-meta character. Straight up, types in chat, tells you they’re not going to do anything because ‘game is lost anyways’. TF2 almost never had this problem. Sure, too many spies or snipers, but no one really cares about winning in casual, so whatever.

I've played tf2 for 3000 hours, and I greatly prefer tf2 because of all the options and unconditional fun it provides. Sometimes when I'm not feeling like pvp, I just go onto a jump server and now it's a completely different game. Or if I'm feeling the pvp vibe but want something more chill, I'll go onto a semi-friendly rtd 2fort server and literally go around as soldier whipping people to death with _only_ the Disciplinary Action, with a supportive secondary that gives me health regen and a rocket launcher that does no damage to give me more movement options. Such a fun game

Overwatch is mostly only going on till now only due to the fandom (or shilldom, to be more precise) & only relevant due to the absurd amount of lewds. TF2 is just great despite some massive flaws, plus it's beyond fun on it's own.

I grown with tf2 from 2010 to today I still play it, but damn if it has lost some of it charm(for me). Not talking about bot, but in general. It's seems like the player base is getting dumber. People don't kick bot or cheater, extreme toxic friendlies, ecc...

Mechanics: OW is class game while TF2 is subclass game Gameplay: OW is team based while TF2 is solo based OW2 makes gameplay towards more solo than team. Mechanics gonna still going the same way as before in general sense.

Honestly, I disagree with the point that TF2 isn't a game that has teamwork as much as Overwatch does. Here is the thing, TF2 was designed so you can play either with your team or on your own. While Overwatch was designed so you should play ONLY with your team to stand a chance to win the match. Another point, the guy in the video that they reacted to said that TF2 doesn't have many things that the classes can do to support their team and I disagree, I will give some examples of how ALL 9 CLASSES can support their teammates in a way or another. First Scout, one of the main examples that come to mind is the mad milk an item that you throw at your enemies and when you shoot them, you gain a bit of health back based on the damage you deal and you can also use it to stop a teammate from burning to death by pulling out the fire, so this can help your teammates by stopping them from dying by fire damage and even keep on the team in the fight for longer and can even make clocked spies visible. Soldier got banners that can give different effects depending on which banner you use, be it more defense, health regeneration, mini crits for all of your teammates nearby. Pyro, can use some of his melee weapons to break down zappers from spies on the Engineer's building, while also using his air blast to pull out the fire from teammates stopping them from burning to death, and even protecting them from rockets, sticky bombs, pipes, etc, and even protect your team from spies with a circle of fire that you can do. Demoman can use his sticky bombs to stop flank routes and enemies push to hold them back with traps of his own, while your team case uses an alternative route to try to catch them distracted. Heavy can throw his lunch box items to nearby teammates to give them a bit of health back when they are in low health to keep them in a fight instead of running back to health pack or asking heals from a medic, he can also work as a wall for your team since he is the class with the highest HP in the game, Heavy is one of the only classes in TF2 that can take some hits before needing to get some health back so Heavy can protect his teammates by using himself as a body shield. Engineer is a big example, he got sentries that can be used for distinction or killing enemies to stop them from pushing or defending a point, he got dispensers that give back health and ammo to your teammates which is really useful and mainly for support and teleporters which are REALLY good for classes that are slow and don't have mobility tools like Heavy or that are needed in the front line like a Medic. As for Medic, well, there is nothing I have to say about it, he literally is the main class of TF2 when it comes to supporting his team. As for Sniper, he is got to target classes that can be hard to deal with because of what they can do, like a Medic with his übercharge, a Heavy with his huge health and damage dealing, etc, he also got Jarete who works similar to the mad milk for Scout but the difference is that enemies in the effect of Jarete receive mini crits when hit. As for Spy, with the cloak and dagger, he can easily sneak his way into the enemy territory to see where they are going and what moves he can do, he can also target important classes like Medic or Heavy and can even talk to his team about things they can do for a spy to make a play like a distraction. There are some more examples that I could write but I believe I already said enough, as, for my last point, one guy behind the development of Overwatch said in an interview that to him, TF2 was the peak team working in a multiplayer game.

@@thesavageone8685 I understand your point. And another thing I wanna say about TF2 is that TF2 skills and teamwork matters a lot, I would say even as much as Overwatch. Here is the thing, TF2 by nature, is a game that allows to go on your own and have a lot more freedom to play as you want BUT. Teamwork is most cases would win. For example, if we make up a team of 12 X 12 for either side, with both teams using the same weapons and classes, but one team is working completely separated, with each player doing their own thing while the other team is pushing together and making coordinated moves, I can assure that the team that is working together is gonna win 100% of the times. The thing about Overwatch is that the game FORCES you into the mentality to play with your team to just stand a chance of winning, while TF2 allows both cases to exist equally cuz in a match against a good team and a bad team, the good team won't really need much of teamwork to win the match, as for matches where both teams are equally good, the winning team is always gonna be the one that works together in TF2. Making pushes together, targeting important classes, and keeping the momentum.

Personally i havent played much overwatch because of the team stuff. It puts so much more pressure on me as a new player to get good so that i dont hurt the team. Where as with tf2 i can just dick around in a casual match with whatever i want and it hardly matters. Most ppl at least from my experience dont take casual very seriously, and if they do they usually get laughed at for getting pissy. Not to say it isnt toxic ever but i feel its toned down in casual by a lot.
