Hi Finn, you don't know how much your videos mean to me. I am married to a Filipina and have been to the Philippines many times. I am hoping to retire there as I have fallen in love with the people and the country. You take me places I can't go because I am disabled. I can't climb the mountains nor can I take many of the long hikes you do or even swim in the ocean, so your videos allow me to experience in part what I am missing. They move me. I feel your love and passion for the country and people in every video. Your videography is some of the best I have seen on KZbin. I am especially touched by your care for the young girls who have been rescued from the sex trade. I have started donating to that ministry, because of you. God bless and keep both you and Sherlyn.

You're right Finn. If only everyone would plant even just a single tree, it could already make a big difference. Thank you so much Pin2 for loving not just Inday Sherlyn but also our Country 🇵🇭 ❤❤
@flipflopyeah45915 жыл бұрын
Mike that’s exactly what he said, if one person plants one tree, there will be billions of trees. That’s lots of trees to counteract CO2 emmisions. Obviously, we won’t be getting rid of planes (like AOC suggest in her green new deal here in the US) it’s just not realistic. But if we continue to plant trees (lots) and changing our lifestyle at the same time such as using less plastic, recycling, using renewable energy and solar , we can make an impact in the environment
@flipflopyeah45915 жыл бұрын
Mike okkaaayyyyy, so you’re proposing to stop flying to make an impact in the planet (realistic???) but planting trees ( realistic) should not be done because it won’t have any impact in the world whatsoever. Hmmmm, Whether it makes a significant impact or not, there are other benefits of planting trees : ie; prevention of soil erosion, thus preventing flash flood, providing more oxygen and reducing CO2, ( now as far as how much I’m not a scientists but we all know trees take CO2 and give out oxygen), providing shade, providing shelters to animals, are just few benefits of trees. So your logic or your point?? If I were to choose between flying on a plane to get to places or planting trees? I’d stay realistic;: planting trees. Btw, I take you have flown before? If not, maybe you drive or have ridden a car yeah? So no need to jab punches at Finn’s travel “between Iceland to the Philippines” let’s be real, we need planes. It’s not going away, atleast do a Little something whether it reduces CO2 emissions significantly or not, planting trees are still good for the environment. Peace out!
@flipflopyeah45915 жыл бұрын
Mike please read my comment again. Let me reiterate what I said . Planes are not going away ( whether you like it or not) its a necessity to travel from one point to another. Just because I use planes and cars to travel doesn’t mean emitting carbon doesn’t matter as long as we plant trees. If you can’t keep up with my comment , let me clarify ; I will continue to use plane and still plant trees. Both can be true at once. Now as far as me killing the planet, have you stop using cars and planes? Your proposal is changing lifestyle and stop flying to make an impact in the environment. Have you done that? As far as plastic pollution, CO2 emissions and global warming is not the only problem we face. Plastic pollution that impacts the ocean that affects marine life has a direct impact on what we eat. Research even shows that 98% of salt has plastic content in it. Imagine the seafood we eat. Aside from affecting ecosystems and marine life. Yes, we have to also worry about plastic pollution. Also where in Finn’s vlog did he say “ let’s plant trees to reduce CO2 emissions?” Let’s stick with the facts in case you don’t want to see the video again . He said “ if everyone one person plant a tree, there will be 7 billion trees . Imagine that”. As far as his high carbon lifestyle, do you actually knows how often he flies? As a follower, I see him use ferry and boats most of the time and brings his bike.. even if he flies to other farther island,s, again, it’s out of necessity. Why ? Because in reality we need planes. Is he being hypocritical about flying planes and taking care of the environment? Again both can be true at once: he uses plane because it’s a necessity, and he likes to do something good for the environment.
@flipflopyeah45915 жыл бұрын
Mike I think you have trouble sticking with facts; he said if every person plants a tree, there will be BILLIONS of trees. Because there are billions of people in this planet. That’s a lot of trees. Again, never in his vlog did he say let’s plant trees to offset CO2 Emissions. For whatever you take from that statement is your own interpretation. As far as him living a lifestyle of high carbon, I don’t have any actual factual numbers of how often he flies on a plane. Do you? How did you come to that conclusion? Do you have facts to support that? Btw, your proposal to stop flying, have you done that? Do you not leave your place anymore? As a close follower of Finn, I’ve seen him and his family planted trees in Iceland, participated in planting A Tree in this vlog , planted with the kids in CURE foundation, helped reduce crown of thorns in antique, helped clean up beaches and shores, picked up plastic he sees while scuba diving or snorkeling, raise awareness to reduce plastic use by using tumblers, refused a plastic bag when he was buying coconut juice from a vendor ( vlog after he got back from Iceland). What have you done so far?
@flipflopyeah45915 жыл бұрын
Mike you still haven’t answered my question: I’m still waiting for your supporting data or facts of how often he flies. Discussing opinions is not arguing. And no, you tubers are not Gods to me. Guess, you’re pretty presumptuous guy to say that knowing that you don’t know me at all. All I’m asking is supporting facts to substantiate your claim that he lives a high carbon lifestyle. Also , guess you’re one of those believers who think it will be doomsday in 12 years ( According to AOC) and believes a child with aspergers being exploited by the left to make an emotional political appeal about global warming. Let me ask you this, wouldn’t you think it’ll be the scientist leading the forefront of climate change if it’s the world is going to be flooded in the next decade or so? Also, you have a problem with preaching to you about planting trees while living a high carbon lifestyle. Let’s go back to your previous comment: you have to stop flying to all across the world to make an impact. Have done that? Have you stopped driving cars too? You also haven’t answered my question.
