We have a 2019 Rubicon Wrangler Unlimited that had serious steering issues. We installed the Synergy Jeep JL / JLU / JT Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace, and the Synergy Jeep JL / JLU / JT Steering Correction Kit. Our Jeep steers like a dream now. I hope this will help you with your problem. Also we upgraded the electric steering box to the latest year model, but yours already has that.

Marco needs a trip that is based around his foods - like a special taco at each special location! Years ago, On the Colorado trip he had the great idea and made a special Chili for that occasion, which was so natural and commemorative of the trip. Take that Marco concept and expand it. Make the trip an occasion of Marco food! Forza.

We had a similar issue with our Gladiator Diesels Steering. Ended up going with RPM Steering 2.5 Ton Steering Kit for the Stock Axles (Tie Rod and Drag Link). It made a world of difference in our setup. We are running a modified Teraflex RT3 LT Short Arm with Clayton Rear Spring and RPM Steering Track Bar with Falcon 3.3 Shocks. It allows us confident driving on and off-road especially with our Alu-Cab Canopy Camper and all the weight we carry behind us. The steering Stabilizer is a falcon adjustable as well. We did before have the axle slam issue before and with the lift and jounce shocks of the kit. It totally eliminated that issue as well. Honestly, to us it is one of the best all around feeling and driving off road vehicles we have owned in our past 30+ years of these vehicles, included IFS trucks that where substantially modified with Long Travel Systems. Good Luck, We will see you out there. Headed to Colorado then North to Tuktoyatuk in less than 2 weeks..

Good to see Tip Top Mountain open, a ways back I heard it was closed. Need to do that this summer. See if the JL 2dr would like to do it. Did part of it with my YJ and my friends TJ, there was snow on the trail and we nearly slid off on the shelf road. We were able to find a spot to do a many turn u-turn. If you take Burns all the way to the hwy you can cross to Jacoby Canyon trail which will take you to 3N16. Fun trail with a bit of off camber rocks and a hill climb. I've done it a few times and even in a heavy cold rain.

Thanks for taking us along Marco. I chuckled at Brad’s remark on the radio in the opening about there being a Chevron in less than six miles! Those tacos looked pretty good on a cool evening. I also hear what you are saying about 4.56 gears. I just traded my Sahara in on a newly ordered Rubicon with the XR package. 4.56 ratio from the factory should help when pulling my trailer as I should see something better than 5th or 6th gear! I really appreciate the simple style of this video. Peaceful, fun and good times making memories! Cheers!!

Hey Marco! Great video and trip. I'm in the process of re-gearing my 2020 Jeep Willys. I bought it new and it came with 3.52 gears and 32" tires (V6 & 8-speed auto). I recently bought new tires - Toyo Open Country AT3's sized LT255/80R-17 (33" x 10.5" pizza cutters, fantastic tires for on/off road) and they fit perfectly on the stock Moab wheels with no rubbing or spacers needed. I tow a 2,000 lb Aliner popup camper on our camping trips. I went to the dealership and got all of the transmission gear ratio info, used an online gear ratio calculator, and am going to 4.10 gears (just waiting for axle bearings now... supply chain issues....). I'm also having a Detroit TrueTrac locker installed in the front axle while everything is opened up (keeping the factory rear TracLok locker). I like the idea of having mechanical traction without electric or air switches. Now, if you are going to 37's and liked the way Brad's Jeep drove with 4.56 gears, you may want to consider going to 4.88's to handle your trailer towing and cargo load. I'm going to 4.10's on 33's.... I can't imagine 4.56 gears being enough for 37's and towing. Use an online gear calculator to check RPM's to decide. Also, and a big also, you'll need to have the transmission re-programmed for the larger tire size. Even switching from 32" to 33" tires on my Jeep affected shifting and it hunts for gears on the highway. Anyway, besides all of that stuff, the trip looked great, and as always, what a tremendous meal you fixed up serving some fantastic looking tuna taco's! If interested, my Jeep and how I camp/eat is on IG at azcamperpete. Keep living well and I'll be looking for your next camping/cooking adventure. Peace! Pete - KI7LIL

Hey Marco! We were in Big Bear too last weekend. It was a bit windy and just above freezing at night. Have you tried an electric blanket with temperaycontrol on it? It keeps the bed warm, and it doesn't heat up the air that you breathe in. Plus it's safer than a propane heater. I prefer cold air and warm bed, but that's just me. The blanket uses about 20-50w /hour, depends on the heater level. It runs around 50-100w when it's on, but it turns on and off periodically. FYI, If you do get an electric blanket, make sure it has an adjustable timer to at least 6-8 hours. Some of them will shut off after 2-4 hours and there's no way to adjust it. Anyway, back to your video, I'm only half way through it. I just thought I'd pause to write you a long comment🤣 Enjoy! 👊😎
