I've played bass for 40 years, toured, and recorded over 25 albums with various artists, including 4 drummers that played and recorded with Leon Russell, J.J. Cale, Eric Clapton and Freddie King. He needs to come to the states. Blues was born here and there is a huge following still for great blues players. Mofro, Sean Hayes, Anthony Hamilton, Gov't Mule are just a few examples of blues singers who are young and successful here. Not to mention the love of the older generations like Mavis Staples, Richie Havens, Bb King, John Lee Hooker, etc. He definitely has what it takes to break into mainstream without changing a thing.

In my opinion I would have to say that Mr Owen Campbell is the best artist to come out in the blues genre since a legend known as Stevie Ray Vaughn. His powerful acoustic and sit guitar sits alone at the top second to none His raspy soulful voice is like no other on the charts , simply music to the ears.His lyrics ,framework and use of 3 to 5 chords takes you back to the true roots of time gone past. Absolutely unbelievable that he is not with a major record label. Although it is well known that breaking through in the American record charts is rare and very difficult he is one that in my belief should succeed.
