@@donditullio9968 Once while working construction a woman parked her Jeep on a pile of rebar. We told her she couldn't. She told us to do impossible obscene things to ourselves. The Super told me to drag the car off the rebar with a big articulated loader. Her wheels didn't turn and by the time I had it out of the way they were all down to the steel core.

Thanks for sharing this. I can see you’re working hard and doing good work. If I may make one suggestion… from a guy who grew up 70+ years ago dealing with many deep snowfalls near Buffalo, NY. When any vehicle is stuck by snow jammed beneath or along its side, it’s best if you can remove as much of this snow as possible with a shovel before trying to tow or drive the vehicle. I know you’re pressed for time, so it’s tempting to just start yanking. But clearing the cause of the obstruction can actually take less time in in the long run, and helps avoid damaging the vehicle and the tow rope/chain. And it’s safer. PS- this is why I keep a small snow shovel in my trunk.

However, 20’ of heavy January snow will change your perspective on how tough everyday life can be for the residents who provide services for visitors. Just getting to work (Mammoth Hospital, Vons, Looney Bean, Schatts Bakery, etc) is an unheralded daily accomplishment that our flat-lander brethren may take for granted. give ya some free advice bro...when tugging something heavy or stuck bad the most efficient way is tugging with the gears, not against them. Turn around and hook up to the rear of your truck. Of course all kinds of arguments may appear about this but you tug with the rear so your risk to your front end is minimal and your weight works for you rather than against.

Mad because he has to wait for someone to move car. But no problem when he is using a tow strap as a recovery strap. That strap snapped because it’s not intended to be used for tugging. Then maybe if he wasn’t driving that little girl hipster car. Might have more weight so he doesn’t have to snap tug on that skid steer.

IDEA: If you need more men to help temporarily, find them temporary housing where they can stay for the days you need them, and you might be able to get people from other places (not snowed in) to help. If you have someplace to temporarily bunk them, more people from another area might be able to come help (and then, when this happens again, they might come back to help next time). Also, as a former athlete and snowboarder, remember there are females out there (not me) who might also be willing and capable of doing these jobs, too. It's not for every female, or male for that matter, but females who are 45 and under, with really good core strength and muscle tone can do that work just like the guys can, and especially driving the vehicles. It's just a fact of basic human biology that females do not possess the upper body strength that some men possess. Heck, if I needed strong, athletic people I could count on, I'd *head over to my local cross fit and let people know you need *reliable* help*. No one loves exhausting, back-breaking work the way crossfitters do. They'll just see shoveling snow as great cardio and strength training combined. Love the cinnamon bear inn
