Have loved this moment since it ran live. This was one of Dave's favorites for sure, and pretty much encapsulated the entire vibe of the shows. Owen is an unofficial mascot. Letterman was like an oasis back then, at first felt like a mirage. We all lived on the edge of our seats, waiting for the show to inadvertently provide Dave with the perfect setup for an off the cuff quip, and he seldom missed spiking the joke. Nobody does it better. "And that's why ladies and gentleman..." Such confidence in intellect he could play off as chronically stupid, when everyone knew better. Met him after show in 87, he could not have been nicer.

I live in a "rural sprawl" part of Jamaica, and have neighbours with pigs on two sides that stink me out all the time. I can't for the life of me imagine having one live in my house.

Sure.. because they are shut up in a pen and sleep in their own poop.. probably a dozen of them. Dogs would stink the same if threated as food.
