Tyler is a master. I’ve been following his journey closely for 8 years. You can’t put into words what he’s been through and the 1000’s of purposeful interactions he’s had with his brilliant mind that he’s mindfully processed to come to understand and communicate this fundamental, pervasive, deeply powerful truth. His camera man is a behemoth and makes Tyler look like a trudging hobbit.

I felt it was a bit harder to follow with me walking down the beach, but wanted to give it a shot and felt it was still worth releasing. The video topic is one of the most important related to attraction between people. I'd attribute a HUGE amount of my own results from this concept, give it a watch or 2 and internalize! Hey Tyler, I began watching your videos a few years ago, when I was going through a long and painful period of my life. Living with my parents, severely socially anxious and full of crazy fearful thoughts. I resonated with the things you spoke about, and helped me believe I could really change and there was no need for me to escape this life. Last year my life long friend threw me a rope and bought me a plane ticket to come live with him rent-free on the condition that I get a job and do my best to get back on my feet. I began taking action, leaving the apartment every day, I began saying hi to strangers, introducing myself, in the elevator, wherever. I found a job in a restaurant, I was so anxious going to it every day, I pushed through. I knew I came off as a bit of a weirdo, but I reminded myself that it's okay, because I'm working on it and this isn't really who I am anyway. I began approaching girls here and there at bars, singing karaoke. When I thought about going over to approach a cute girl, I'd immediately feel paralyzed and shaky. But I did it anyway. Now just a year later, I've come a seriously long way. I hardly have any issue approaching girls and feel very warm and positive feelings inside when I do it, and they're often very warm and inviting towards me. I feel so much more myself, who I really am. And as far as not getting what you want, I have went through that again and again, and I always remember that phrase "don't get bitter, get better" and sit down and return to my core in the way I've somehow learned how to do. For example there was a really cute new girl at work who showed so much interest in me, teasing me sexually and on a few occasions said she was going to come over to hang out that night, and each time flaked and it was so frustrating in the moment, I couldn't get her out of my head. But I let the feelings pass and let her go, and decided to continue to be friendly towards her anyway. I am honestly grateful for experiences like that because afterwards I actually feel like a stronger version of myself. Thank you for the incredibly valuable content that you've given freely because it has helped me out of a really dark hole and has helped put me on this path to what is already quite a wonderful life. You have my deepest gratitude.

Man... Owen has a talent for recognizing the exact mechanics of the mind and articulating in layman's terms. He got both, and we are lucky to have him. Becoming more grounded as the objects of your desires leave you over and over is just pure gold of an insight. This allows me to trust this process of failures, reframing them as something good for me.

Had the feeling for years that RSD will take the spiritual path of personal development that it is now. There has been times where he would even foretell the time where the switch would happen but this is the true calling more so than PUA. RSD has taught me through personal development and dating the lessons and spiritual progression that pick up brings. Which in turn, made becoming a better person genuine. I feel the same energy and presence in this video, no different than I do from the other older videos. I was 18 in 2015 when I found RSD and being 22 now; I recognize that even as a speaker I see how RSD has shaped a lot of how my overall personality is and how to develop a Infectatious personality. Thank you Tyler for helping me tap into my true inner self and becoming present and ONE with myself and with the world.

Today is the start of Jewish Rosh Hashanah, beginning a ten-day festival unto Yom Kippur. Today is the Head of the Year. The Mind. Today it is helpful to start deeply analyzing our own problems. We use the next ten days to seek how to fix these problems, and this leads into Yom Kippur, "Day of Atonement", which is fitting, as it is an expression of At-One-ment with G-d. Thank you for this video.

Owen, there’s this thing in Catholicism that’s called the 9 beatitudes; and it’s like the mountains you gotta climb spiritually to be saint. And the first one relates completely with what you said (the I love it but I don’t need it ) “when you can easily release those things that you want, is when you get them” . The first one is of Matthew 5:3-12 read as follows: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. What this means is that you gotta be able to “come off” your desires and acknowledgments so you don’t depend on them. As a result, you’ll be free in spirit and able to climb the second mountain, which is the next beatitude.

Owen, I don’t know if anyone has ever put across to you that the music you feature in your newer videos is such a great touch! I’m very music oriented, so I tend to save them. Then I found that when those tracks play that they help me remember your teachings in the video that the song corresponds to! As Marcel would say; it’s an anchor! Also, the songs that you do pick tend to focus on or encourage growth and upwards momentum! I’ve been using them as a sort of grounding/anchoring tool for a while now, but have never commented about it. I’d lap up an Owen Cook Spotify playlist compiling all the tracks from your videos if you ever did one. Long time fan, thanks for everything Owen! 🙏

I used to dream about amnesia: about forgetting all the embarrassing traumatic events with girls, and everything else in my life, so that one day, magically, I could wake up as a blank slate with innocent wonder towards everything in the world. I dreamed I would lose all expectation and fear of the outcome of my intentions. It is amazing how perfectly this lines up with everything Owen is talking about and I remember thinking this in only middle school! The funny thing is, I got what I wanted. But in addition to slowly "forgetting" via the stimulating distractions of video games (8-12 hours a day for years), I repressed all the traumatic emotions of my younger self but, as Freud said, the body never forgets. In practicing trauma release (yes this is actually a thing), I have unearthed some long long forgotten memories in my subconscious of my younger self throughout school. This was seriously shit that I had not thought about in forever. And I could not help but laugh at the fact that I remember or, rather, did not forget all those memories. They never ever go away. And in recalling them, I can see how I did repress embarrassment in those moments. It is crazy how you never forget that shit. And when I recalled those memories, I forgave myself for having repressed the embarrassment as a coping mechanism because I was just a kid! I didn't know about emotional maturity or presence or pain bodies or the subconscious or any of that. No one taught me! And, believe you me, when you sit with yourself in a quiet room and talk directly to your subconscious saying "okay subconscious I know you have some trauma down there. Go ahead and let it come up. It is safe now", and just wait for a long time, SOME SHIT WILL COME UP THAT YOU HAVEN'T THOUGHT ABOUT FOR YEARS. So, whenever those memories come up, either visually in my mind's eye or emotional-sensationally in m body or verbally as a recount in my mind's ear, I literally forgive my younger self consciously and tell him (me?) that I love him (me) and mentally hug them and let them cry it out or express whatever childhood emotion they need to express. I no longer have any egoic judgment towards expressing it in an particular way. It's your subconscious not your conscious which needs to process it. It won't express if it is being judged. (and yes I know how ridiculous it sounds to refer to the subconscious, which is not an empiricism, as an "it", separate from my consciousness but hey it is what it is) And this is how you accept who you are. This is how you accept who you are, who you were, who you will be, and this is unconditional love. I kind of hate how cheesy it is but that is probably still my ego needing it to be much more sophisticated than the pure, childlike, innocent, and unconditional lovey-dovey type shit. I'd just like to add this. We have heard before, I hope, that "The Truth Will Set You Free". What does this mean? Where do we find the truth? Is it in an RSD video? Is it in another bag of Siete Chips from Sprouts? No. The truth is in the emotions your body feels. The truth will set you free from the shackles of repressed traumatic energy. The truth is found and understood when you process the sensations and emotions that inhabit your body. These comprise who you are just as much as your consciously enunciable beliefs and values etc. It may not be verbal, or maybe it will be verbal such as when you recall a memory, but once you start to actually process those emotions and feel the subtle freedom from having let go of that repression, you will understand that the knowledge you seek when you read books that cover the same topics that you have always read about over and over again (not to say reading is bad) or when you watch another one of Owen or Julien's videos (not to say this is bad either), that knowledge you seek is actually within yourself. And with this new understanding, you will no longer be so compulsively eager to stimulate your taste buds or eyes or mind with inflammatory diversion. And once you are okay and actually excited to sit with yourself and process your emotions and this becomes enjoyable to you, you will become more and more grounded in your experience of life, which is only going to be experienced by your awareness of through your eyes and your hands and your heart and your lungs and so on and so forth.

Owen, so much of what I think about my life experience was inspired by you. I started with almost no money, very shy and introvert, etc. and I'm building my way through life. I wanna meet you some day! Please come to Brazil! If you don't come, just don't die, so I can find you when I have the money to travel and see you irl

I think what it boils down to, and has shown to be true in practice, the better you feel going into a social situation, and on a daily basis, the less you need from other people. The less you need, the more you are able to give. Since everyone is looking for value, you will attract high value people instead of other needy people.. The drawback of this is it feels good to be needed. People today go to extremes and are constantly able to replace each other with fake validation from social media, or the cheap entertainment and distractions that are always available from technology.
