All my points have been that the corrupt Arab leaders have had numerous opportunities of forming a Palestinian state and they have turned down the opportunity each time. One has to question whether the reasons for not accepting the offers are less to do with ideology and more to do with money. The frustrating thing is that had Arafat accepted a deal they would be close to celebrating a 25th anniversary of a sovereign Palestinian state with a fraction of the number of “illegal settlers” in the West Bank. Unfortunately nobody is going to get anything out of the Netanyahu government so it will have to be put on the back burner.
