@@The1stPurpleCat it's really exactly in his genre, and I don't really understand why people think its so unlike fireflies?? I don't think people understood that song. how I understand it, its about having severe insomnia and possibly night terrors, and coping with that. I don't know about anyone else, but i've always thought of this song as a metaphor for mental health, panic/anxiety attacks more specifically, because this is genuinely what it feels like to experience them at times. They can be sudden, and sometimes violent, but when you learn to live through them, you stop being so afraid of them, taking life one step at a time. The "if this was how i died?" Line always makes me think of the realization that comes with mental breakdowns, when you're experiencing a breakdown that makes you feel like unaliving, it's often something you feel like you're not in control of, but when you regain that control it can be scary to think about what could've happened. And i see the colvert as a metaphor for having someone there to help, someone you trust and who can help keep you calm, someone who makes the storm pass faster or easier. This was quite the rant i didn't think I'd go on lol. But if any of you out there feel the same as i do, just know you're not alone

When Adam sings the lyric “That was when I saw my family with my eyes shut real tight,” I imagine him laying in his safe spot, welcoming the quiet, letting his eyes close. Slowly drifting off into a fitful doze, & he felt his body become heavy with weariness as he slipped deeper into peaceful sleep, a smile appeared on his face, his comforting dreams focused on his love for his family, even if that’s not what he means in the song.

BRO MEEEEEE This fits pretty well with my spiritual battles. People either get scared, don’t know how to respond, feel unqualified to discuss about or maybe feel exestential when people talk about it it seems, but really I’m just another child of God in a rouph time. The spookiness is just smoke and mirrors, though it’s good to know that bad is bad. If you have God with you you can have confedence to be unstoppable :D The darkness alwayse has ways to have me forget that, but I keep pressing farward and it’s still there anyway.
