I almost picked some of this board up yesterday! Oh, I'm so glad you have this tutorial. I may not be intimidated next time now. I can't believe with it being that porous that you can lift that well, that is awesome. Gorgeous painting. Watching the detail come through was really cool.

Thank you Mikki. It is porous and yet, the colors don't fade as they dry. It's very strange and quite difficult to explain, you need to try it yourself. Also, don't expect to get the same result as with paper when you use it wet on wet. Just have fun. :D

Thanks for this helpful intro to Aquaboard. I have some coming soon, now I know what to expect. Brighter colors! Details! This sounds perfect for the kind of work I do. Thank you!

Fantastic overview of the Aquabord, and such a lovely painting. I just purchased my first aquabord, and I feel like your tips have really prepared me for it. Thank you.

I'm so glad I was able to help. Have fun with your Aquabord, and remember to flush the bubbles out before you start using it. It takes a little getting used to, but once you've figured it out, it's such a joy to use, and it's so versatile.

Watercolor on Aquabord can also be an underpainting for oils!

aquabored is the best! I love everything about it like she was saying also you can fix your mistakes with a dryer brush its an awesome product a little pricy but well worth it its archival you dont need glass to cover it like if you wanted it framed ..they also carry a floating frame to go with it as well u havent tried aquabored you should im a begginer and i cant tell you how much confidence you have when you paint on it ..cause if you make a mistake you can fix it no problem and you can start on it right after the water soaks in and it doesnt look wet also i drew a picture on mine actually transfered with copy paper and when i wet it it didnt come out and thats what i wanted but u can sketch on it and erase if you needed too the product is the best hands down period .

Do be careful if you need to erase your sketch on it, though. Be gentle. I'm glad you love it so much. I'm just about to do another painting on it. It's one of my favorite surfaces.

How soon do I have to begin a painting after I flush it?
@Sandrinesgallery6 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. It takes a while to dry, and when you touch it, if it feels cold it means it's still wet. Personally, I wait until it's dry. When you buy a board, it does give the directions on how to do it on the paper that it's wrapped in.

sandrinesgallery Thanks. My paintings are photo realistic so once I start one it can take a few days to finish. Can this material support my style?

Hello, Is the paper smooth or rough? >:)
@Sandrinesgallery4 жыл бұрын
Hello, this isn't paper. It a a piece of hardboard with a layer of clay. It's a bit rough, but you can add so many details and erase any mistakes. It's a lovely surface.

@@Sandrinesgallery thank u, i think im going to buy the ampersand's calyboard directly just because i uses watercolour and graphite over that , so i need a very smooth surface :)
@Sandrinesgallery4 жыл бұрын
@@robertocellamare3856 That's another great surface, although I'm not sure you can use watercolor on that one. The aquaboard is made especially for watercolor. But if you can, please, let me know.
