I rarely comment on anything on youtube, but just wanted to say: this is a great direction for your podcast! Been following for 3-4 years now, and I would love to see more in this direction. I am also a runner and a vegan, but the discussions you are having here are wonderful.

I'm a big fan of freedom of speech and I completely support Rich Roll's preaching to join a mob of protesters that enabled the CHAZ/CHOP Lord of the Flies experiment and burning of other people's property. That's what all the cool non-racist vegans are doing.

Rich is a very intelligent & logical person. I like some of his points about being "open" in discussion to others opinions. "Listen" to the other person, show "empathy". Set "respectful boundaries" in conflict. Try to set aside emotion in conflict. That is not always easy. We all want these things so surely the world would be a better place if we tried to adopt them. Awareness is the key. Great podcast episode. Thank you.

First let me say I love your Podcast and I really love this one too. And I might add as a retired surgical nurse of 40 years in trauma we cannot trust every doctor we meet... some of them are blithering idiots and mutilate people on a regular basis and the system does nothing to stop them. When I choose a doctor I vet them just like you're talking about with truth.... I research them I research the hospital I go to and I find out the things I need to know to make the best decision possible. (Board certified doesn't always mean good) Luckily working in the operating Room I've been able to make my decision based on real time visual experience, i.e. watching the doctor do surgery. In summary, just because a doctor has a degree from a medical institution does not make them an expert or even a halfway decent doctor. Keep Rolling!!👍

During the covid and being off work I decided to build 4 gardens on my property, it was a lot of work but it got me in fine shape and i continue to work out and do the cold therapy as i LOIVE on a beach in the Pacific North West Canada. Something has been getting at some of my plants and i forgot about all the sprouting i did last winter. i am now going to plant only things that bugs or slugs of Rabbits wont eat away and go back to sprouting, Sprouts actually have more to offer that the full plant like broccoli sprouts are more nutritious than the plant so back to Sprouts thanks for the pod cast, just found you recently and very interesting and i have learnt much so far, oh and bought the audio book, I commute 15 hour to work and red a book going to and a book coming from work every month. My brain is going to explode hahahahah From Canada eh!

Can relate to always seeing the gray. As a mental health therapist, i try and meet people where they are. Doing that over and over again seems to cause any strong opinions I have to all fall away. Due to hearing continual personal experiences of pain, anxiety and sadness across every racial, social, economic and political spectrums. One opinion that does get reinforced for me is the universality of suffering or whatever word a person wants to label that experience. To some, more suffering, to others less. And of course not everyone starts out on equal footing. It can often hurt to hear.

"I have alcoholism and I need to treat it".. that is what your tellin yourself Rich! Some of us have transcended it with the power of the mind.
@cruzc5frc4 жыл бұрын
"I will never be cured of alcoholism" is more of the same :/
@richroll4 жыл бұрын
Maybe you can -- and that's awesome. All I have is my own experience. 9 years ago -- after 13 years sober -- I relapsed and it was terrifying. The demon came right back, stronger than ever. My alcoholism requires daily treatment. It's not just about the power of the mind. The mind might keep me dry, but dry isn't enough for me. I want to be sober. And to be truly sober requires diligent treatment of the soul and emotional body, followed with action and service.

@@richroll My addiction ran full throttle from 15-35, (37 now) with the alcohol, gambling, and at the end, a dr sponsored 4 year adderall dependence to continue powering the self destruction. I don't think it was just the power of the mind but actually crafting the mind and rebuilding it this last fall-winter by forcing myself outside every. single. day. through the Chicago winter with 50-70# strapped to the chest. Operating at the spiritual level my mind and body had no choice but to follow and adapt day by day. Our Chicago winter temps allowed me to fall back into a theta brainwave state which accomplished 3-4.5 hours a day of meditation while listening and completely engaged in your book as well as goggins, colin o'brady's and 80 others. I can only assume stacking all this with very specific mineral/nutrient/diet/sleep has not only rebuilt the body but has rebuilt the mind. I think this would be comparable to endurance training and races except your walking through nature 3-4.5 hours a day through the snow and ice for 4-5 months to really let the new firmware bake. #biohacktheworld #changeiscoming
