The Fx's are timeless. I have a 2009 FX35, and I still smile everytime I drive it. Recently had to replace torn factory Rear differential bushing, dealer wanted 6K, I DIY'd it with the kit from Z1 for $100, plus toolkit. There are times when I wish the ride was smooth like before, but on acceration I love it even more!

I have a 2009 with 41,000 miles on it. I bought it with 14,000 on it, drove it to work for a couple years and then retired. I have owned several of the predecessor cars, the 240z, 260z, 280z, 280zx, 300zx, fx45 and the the king of them all, the Fx50S. I love my car but sadly have to sell it to to disability. Thanks for your video.

I am sorry to hear about your disability. And wow, talk about low mileage!! Although mine has 150,000 miles on it, I barely drive it because I work from home. I have put maybe 25,000 on it in the 3 years I have owned it.

I do have 25mm all around. Seems flush in the back, a little poke in the front. They say 25 rear and 15 front is the way to go. But I also bough the arch extenders (haven’t installed) so it will look pretty good whenever I do it.

That Infiniti OEM Aero (aerodynamic) kit gives the car a whole new look. It costed me quite a bit and it took a while to find all the OEM pieces and had to have some painted to match. Almost impossible to find the OEM pieces though. The aftermarket kits just came up short to me.

I still haven’t put on my front bumper or front aero. It’s been too hot but it’s finally cooling down so I’ll be able to complete this overhaul and update this page.

2009 fx35 owner w/209K ; 5th owner . car was well taken care of . major repairs since 1 yr of ownership - passenger front wheel bearing , radiator , and a getting a second key fob . future repair - front passenger window regulator possibly going out , driver heating/cooling seat doesn't work (turns on for 4 min then shuts off ) , no longer has the TPMS stems. Back arm rest strap missing , but able to bring it down with a wire hanger. Hoping to figure out a workaround. Overall , still happy with the purchase.

Thanks for the info on the rear differential and power steering related issues. Currently in the market for a 2nd gen. 35/37/50 With regards to the power steering…hoses/pump and rack…I am currently in the midst of researching any type of upgrade to ensure a resolution to their issues. It appears the G35/37 have upgrade kits…curious to know if there is any continuity with the application.

I did another video installing the headlights, the contact information is in that video description. You will need to open up the lights and do the install. If you are not comfortable doing that, there is usually someone in town that provides those services and in some cases, probably online as well. It’s a cool unique and refreshing but not TOO MUCH look.

For the most part yes. But the 50 rear is different. If it were a 35, you can get away but buying 350/370z parts. It’s the pro and con of owning a 50.
