Absolutely beautiful car. BMW really did an amazing job with the performance. I had a few days with the G82 Comp. I'm wondering what your thoughts are prior to the performance mods, then after. BMW said the 6-speed manual wouldnt handle the competition's horsepower. Was there any hesitation to increase power with the 6-speed? How's it holding up? Picked up an X3M and threw in the JB4 from your videos. Once an OTA flash becomes available, I'll remove it and swap to a flash tune. But WOW was I impressed with the different from just a JB4 and xHP tune over the stock X3M.

No sir we don't get that many snow days around here so I got the Michelin AS4s(All seasons). I had the Michelin AS3s on my last 340i so I knew how good they would be. In a couple inches of snow, you're good. If you get a lot of snow, then recommend Michelin X or Alpin PA 4.

Love your reivew! Is it much quiet than f80 in terms of cabin and road noise? I have a stock f80 MT and i find its hard to have regular conversation with passensgers when the road is not perfectly smooth. My wife complains all the time… lol And does it have the same loud cold start sound like f80?

Stock it is very quiet especially in efficient mode(valves closed). Interior is better in every way over F8X.

Hey PBC, I can’t find much info online - is the JB4 taking care of the CEL from the catless downpipes? I have a very similar spec Isle of Man / Kylami coming in a month or two - thanks for all the content man.

You're welcome! The JB4 does get rid of CEL but only temporarily until it comes back. I have the Big Daddies 02 spacer(Just $50 each) and it has permanently gotten rid of CEL :)

Hey brotha. I had the JB4 installed along with the midpipe installed at the shop. So I didn't do it myself. Yup I dyno'd it twice. Once with just midpipe 475 whp and then with catless dp E35 fuel and JB4 Map 5 660whp which was my highest. This was before intakes. And yes efficient mode suprisingly gives the best numbers :)

I noticed a lot of throttle closure and it pulls hard on Map 2, never tried Map 5 though, was afraid of overboost. Now I am sending my ECU to Russia for unlock, the JB4 is not my thing, but I have to admit it can make serious numbers! Thanks for replying!

@@0Camus0 I have done over a hundred 60-130 runs on Map 4 and 5 using ethanol. Not a single issue with JB4. Flash tune will always be best but not worth the hassle and cost for me. Been very happy with JB4. Car does sub 7.0 60-130 on a piggyback which is good enough for me haha. Let me know once your tune is done!

Where are you getting your numbers? Brand new base M340i MSRP = $56,700. Brand new base M3 MSRP = $69,900. And yes, I know the current market is crazy for M3s but this is strictly comparing what their actual prices are. There are still dealerships that are ethically selling at MSRP including the one 10 mins from my house, BMW of Turnersville.
