10,000 Mile Update - Is the BMW G80 M3 the BEST M3 Yet?

Our G80 has seen quite the transformation since March 13th when we picked it up. From a bone stock car to one of the ultimate G80 builds that is on the road. This car has seen every step of the evolution process. From AST lowering springs and spacers, to the all out no holds barred build that we have today. This car has nothing but the best parts on it from the full Vorsteiner VRS Carbon Aero Kit, the Rays GT090s, the Moton One-Way Coil overs, and the Akrapovic fully titanium exhaust and carbon diffuser. It doesn't get any better than this! The G80 has proven itself as an amazing platform as a daily driver with an already budding aftermarket presence, but where does the G80 fit in the M3 rankings?

Although the G80 grill is large it actually makes sense with the design of the rest of the car as long as the colors are right. Now when I saw how the front of this G80 looks I realized it was a clever decision by BMW to make the grill that way because it allows for many aftermarket options. In other words the car doesn't look as great when its stock but once its been worked on a bit, it can look really good.

I have daily driven every M3. I can firm report that the E36, E37 & E46 platforms are the last truly powerful, balanced, nimble M cars. I have sold every other M car because they just don't feel like the true early M cars when driven back to back. These modern M may look cool, but they are not drivers' cars.
