People are weird. Here we have our own mega-yacht engineer talking us on private walkthroughs on some of the most expensive things existing on the planet. Of course, we want to learn about the technical sides of these when in the company of eSysman. There are loads of others who will tell us about the carpets and gold plates and the excess or lack of "shabby chick" design cues. The best videos are when he gets to talk to a colleague and completely nerds out on our behalf.

"shabby chic"........and there's ALSO "trailer park chic" where I am in Canada. Our "yacht" for travelling the pipeline was a 20th. Century trailer that came with the furniture. That material wore like chain mail!! We still have the 1960 swivel chair.

This has to be one if not The best videos you have done. Not only a really fascinating introduction/invite into this incredible world of mega yachting and all that that includes, but the "polish" you and your team have so lovingly and in intricate detail have so seemingly effortlessly applied throughout this video is extraordinary. So beautifully achieved in all ways.

I like both the technical stuff and the design stuff. I dont need to know who the interior designer was. Although, I have seen enough yachts to recognize certain design houses, like Winch or H2. I would be happy with a video dedicated to the engine room alone. I think you did a goid job at the show this year. It is always great when you can get on board a boat. Of course, I watch David Seal, Victoria, and Nick Burnam too.

Quite informative and sharing very anecdotical knowledge, as is usual in the channel. I have most fond memories of the times I've been in Montecarlo, yet never been there during a crowded event (such as the Grand Prix or the Yacht show) so I have no comparison parameters, hence your commentary on the subject is most interesting.

Really loved this video. Gotta collect my ten points. Can I save them for credit on a ticket to Monaco Yacht Show? I love the tech stuff. Anybody can go on and on about interior decorating which as you note, may or may not be to my taste. I do remember one video though, a tour, with an incredible table with an inlay? And some other unusual and extraordinarily well executed design features. I'm of an age where I forget some things. Thus the vagueness. I especially enjoyed your finding the hill to fly the drone from and your footage of the walks up, and even better, your lesson learned. Don't wear yourself out ever, eSysman, I for one will never become weary or tired of you and your team's great work.

Interesting piece about privacy. In the 90's I worked as Engineer/Mate on a 52 m and when the owner was on board we ran with three crew, Captain, Engineer/Mate and deckhand/stewardess. When they ate on board in the evening we all ate together. No crew uniforms, the owner said when you come to eat wear a clean T shirt. Excellent job with the boat almost always travelling. On long crossings with no owner we would take on extra crew to cover watches. Worked very well.

2 alternatives, how to legaly obtain airshots from Monaco show 1) Lease (or co-lease) big, winged UAV (i.e. drone what looks like added VTOL capability airplane) with masive telescope camera, and fly in French air-space and over international watters only. Hard to brake Monacan rules/law, when not in Monacos borders, or national watters. Not to mention, it would open to you (or the drone operator) possibilities, to take shots of the yachts, that would otherwise stayed outisde the harbour on the anchor. AND you can get videos of incoming, and leaving ships. OR 2) try to negotiate with the owner of the hill a right to place there "permanently" (or at least for the time of the show) a "weather measuring box", with a huge hidden telescopic camera inside. Of those two, i would sugest number one.

A great video as usual, a little different from the usual which is why it's so good. What I want to know, all the pillows and cushions on the bed, I guest the stuardess dose a bed turn down similar to what is done on some cruise ships. Storage on a yacht is often limited and quite a large cupboard for these excess cushions/pillows is required as I am sure they are not just thrown on the sofa. Perhaps they go under the bed.

Fascinating video. You commented that the crew keep out of the way of the owner/guests and one owner's wife complained she felt, with a crew of 50, she was on a deserted ship. It reminded me of one of your videos a year or so ago, when someone asked, in the comments, if the crew got invited to the owners parties onboard. Then went on to ask do you make friend with the owner etc People have very strange ideas about what it is like to be "staff" on these yachts, It's similar in very high-end hotels etc.
