Owner vs Charter Flights- Private Jet Flight Attendant

What's the difference between working a flight for the owner of the airplane or working a flight that has been chartered out to other guests?
Part 91- Owner flights - no exchange of money
Part 135- Charter flights- exchange of money for the flight.
There are pro's and con's to both, but you get to decide which you prefer and which you're more drawn to.

So, can you give me some requirements that I should be seeking in the Resume, some red flags I should be looking for, or just any agencies to help me find the full time staff, and ones to avoid. At least $100 or more to each of the crew members. They split tips three ways so make sure each gets a tip

Are the owners free to do what they want during a flight for the most part? I'm wondering what type of "rules" apply as an owner vs. say commercial flying.

Yes for the most part as long as it doesn’t jeopardize safety they are allowed to do what they want. I’d still ask them to be seated for takeoff and landing.

Working in the field...I see a number of my fleet, where's it's a Part 135 aircraft, but 99% of the time it's the owners flying. They do this for tax, resell value, etc reasons. So it's not as black and white as it seems. This is coming from me working in the management side of it, where roughly 1/4 is just Part 91, 1/3 is Part 135, and 1/3 is 91 operating as a 135.

Hi, America, will this not be a little awkward for you if you need to split your tip with the pilots. In an earlier video, I recall you mentioning that one pilot is your husband.

It’s not awkward, it’s a general standard in the industry to split tips unless the pilots tell you to go ahead and keep your tips. Yes, my husband is one of the pilots and he still gets his third of the tips. It’s each of our own fun money.

Very good question: 99.99% of the time no they are not, however I have seen twice where the owner was one of the pilots. In those 2 cases they primarily flew only charter flights. On rare occasion did they use the airplane for personal travel to transport their families.
