I am just bought P4305. No test lead too )) Old tipe 50Hz 220V transformer! I don't seen it many years. Btw in my version added an simple "oscilloscope" for voltage and current. Thanx for review.
@Pnoxi5 жыл бұрын
The transformer is still used for its low output ripple and easy control. It is better than a switching power supply for a lab power supply. My PSU has no "oscilloscope" mode. Can you tell me your version of the software? I have 1.4.0 (you'll find it in the settings).

@@Pnoxi Vers V1.4.1 (model P4305) "oscilloscope" is not very useful, but for fun :-) It have fixed V and A and time coordinate. Sorry my English.

te consulto . en el modelo 4603 30 v a 5am vine un bobinado y es una fuente bastante pesado obviamente mucho mejorreforzada . MI pregunta es ?por que ?. y en la SP6103 de 60 v a 10amp - no viene este bobinado .
@Pnoxi2 жыл бұрын
P4603 is a linear power supply, while SP6103 is a switched power supply. Technologically, it works in a completely different way. I prefer linear, for example it has a smaller voltage ripple at the output.

It's a pity it doesn't have the V/I combined graph plot like the lesser newer models. Also... it's quite noisy. I can't understand why they can't make a PSU be quiet enough... if it's necessary put a long fin heatsink and dedicated fan inside, but they still rely on the old tactic of trying to cool the heatsinks with case ventilation.

can you output 30V with 5A? or it is limited by 3A across the whole voltage range?
@Pnoxi5 жыл бұрын
The Owon P4603 version has a maximum output of 60V/3A, so I can't get 30V/5A. The Owon P4305 version has a 30V/5A output.

@Pnoxi2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's suitable for sensitive electronics. It has large voltage spikes exceeding the set voltage. See forum: www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/inside-the-owon-p4603p4305-linear-psu/

@@Pnoxi but it has nob to set the current output. Does it still gives unnecessary spikes in the current as output ?
@Pnoxi2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, the setting does not help, it is given by the construction. When you set 3.3V, for a short time (switching on the power supply) there can be a voltage of 20V. See this forum, there are more such posts and pictures from the oscilloscope.

Ugh, the fonts! Why use a nice TFT, only to make it simulate crappy 7-segment LCD? Why not use a proper font (and a nicer font for the labels, hotkeys and stuff)… Seems like a slow update rate on the meter, too. (The set voltage seems to update quickly, but the actual measured output seems to lag significantly.) And that buzzer would make me want to kill myself. It can't be THAT hard to make pleasant-sounding beeps instead of the sound of squeaky toys being tortured. Pity, it's just software issues on what seems like decent hardware.
