Great outcome but incredibly snooty treatment by the original SA. For such a loyal customer it's disgraceful how you were treated, especially about getting store credit that can be used on anything EXCEPT bags! Worst case scenario you would have had to keep the bag and resell but lucky it didn't come to that and you even got a refund as well :)

Sorry I missed your live but yes, please do more in the future. Thank you for sharing your experience. Very confusing and frustrating on what each store said about the refund/exchange even from SA to SA at FSH! I have over 2 decades dealing in customer service too and there was nothing you could have said to the first SA at FSH about the return/exchange given her attitude. Who knows maybe she was having a bad day but you handled it well and I'm glad to hear you were able to get something else you love with a partial refund! Honestly I don't why they couldn't offer a refund as an option since isn't Hermes policy return or exchange within 30 days? It would be interesting to see what is on receipt from France concerning returns/exchanges. Looking forward to seeing what you got. I completely agree, these luxury brands have done it to themselves with these high prices and given the current economic situation. Thanks for sharing again. Have a great week! ❤

I think you got lucky and very good service at Hermes. In their fine print written on the recite it says no exchange could go to qouata bags and it is not a guarantee the local store accept a return from bags bought abroad. I think it is also due to money laundering suspicion.

I was hoping that you wouldn't experience the same issue I had with the handbag exchange in Paris but I am glad that you were able to resolve it successfully. It can be quite a stressful experience so good for you maintaining your cool and continuing to be polite.

Thats why u don't take a bag if you are not 100% sure specially h bags.they are meticulous in their items because even u,u don't want to buy exchanged bag.if they try to sell it again. Thats why the SA inspected the bag before taking it back.well, u got lucky to get a better bag option exchange.enjoy your bag. And on the day u exchange the bag,u got instant appointment leather and a bag lol!because only people who got leather appointment will have a chance to be offered bag right!

OMG horror story. If it makes you feel any better, that has been Hermes policy forever (you get a credit and can spend it only on other than leather bags)... it wasn't a justification for being rude... but Hermes is very snobby when it comes to exchange/return. You got lucky to get a mini Bolide... they can be really mean and unaccommodating. It's all up to the SM. So sorry for your experience dear.

I was in Paris for 8 days last week and was not lucky to get the appointment from the lotteray system. I went to the store every day and asked if any cancellations but there were none regardless I had already spent 3500 Euro and another 6600 Euro lol

I don't understand! Basically, you have almost prove that you deserve one of their bags and pray for your money would accepted to buy a bag, but when you want to return it, they have get attached so much to your money that they don't want to refund it to you 🤔🤔. Even Zara treats better its costumers. Sorry, I,'m not English speaker.

Secondary market is a great option for sure. I purchased B30 and C1-24 on resellers marketplace. And I got exact colour and leather that I wanted. But, if someone has an opportunity to buy directly from boutique, someone should use that option to the fullest 🫶🏻
