@@extrastype but they were a punk band and said to be inspired by the Sex Pistols were they not? This is too polished stuff (good nonetheless), but it marks a terribly downward shift from Punk to softpop-cum-reggae stuff. Yes it is dub too, but they went too far down (strictly in my view) from being hard core punk to bring out something like this. I am sure Sex Pistols would have disowned them - but it also has indications of pressure on them by an established label they chose to work with - CBS.

I Clash sono stati i veri pionieri, nel mischiare la rabbia riottosa tipica del punk con esperimenti di derivazione caraibica, come il dub, sempre e comunque a proprio modo di suonare

Justice has become just ice for some who succumb to being dumb. The war of words is not more worth than mirth on Earth. Yet I will still thrill and return to a peace no priest can preach as I welcomed from my worldly roam, where my heart is home and the end a friend.....

Great platlist my brother. Most don't get the influence The Clash had on Dub, whihc is the most influential genre in music history. EVERYTHING ,music related can be traced back to dub, more specifically the method of sampling.

The only punk band that came close to The Clash for reggae were The Ruts. Maybe they even surpassed them with Jah War? Those songs are relevant once again in 2022.
