Exiled Stalker - absolutely!! I just love the fast, agile, mobile fighting style with some acrobatic elements, fast strikes, lots of tools (bows, knifes, poisons), and clean executions - it's a class that screams at enemies: "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" in the best way.

Be careful of the lack of staggering with that one - enemies have a lot of poise and you'll get smacked around during your combos.

10's quite a bit - I doubt there will be hidden classes honestly. This game doesn't strike me as the type to keep classes from the player with the exception of Dark Crusader.

umbral magic was said to be in darker, hidden areas. it's like the dark magic from dark souls, or blood magic in elden ring, you can't start with it, and it's more rare to find, and has it's own drawbacks due to it's power.

When I first saw the poster at Game Stop a few weeks ago, I didn't know what it was about at first, then days later when I saw a few gameplay videos, it got me interested. Now fast forward to today, after learning more about this game, and after watching this video, I can safely say that I'm legitmately excited for this game to come out this October, and this is the first game I pre-ordered the deluxe edition in years. The Dark Crusader will definitely be my first class, as a Soulsborne vet who prefers colossal/ultra greatsword weapons over anything else.

Tbh there’s a few classes that I find very interesting! Dark Crusader and Udirangr Warwolf are my top choices for sure! After I learn the game a bit I think it’ll be fun to try out the Condemned and mess with Fist weapons if they turn out to be viable, and giving the Blackfeather Ranger a try cause I really dig the look of it. This game looks so cool and I’m definitely looking forward to it!

Partizan seems like a good class. Early strike damage, crossbow for range and heavy armor + a shield will allow for good parries or be an oppertunistic ranger. I also like that the flail scales with agility allowing us to later choose to either have a crossbow or bow. I'm just afraid that the Unripe berries will only work once and then I gotta buy it somewhere just so cheaters can get infinite amount of them and I get finite of them. I hope they respawn in my inventory everytime I respawn or go to one of the checkpoints or regenerate as I walk through the world to make the class more unique. Preferably regenerate + checkpoint/respawn would be the best outcome. I heard somewhere that arrows will regenerate, which is really good, but I don't remember which video that said that. So now I'm hoping that consumables regenerate too as it would otherwise make consumables terrible if you have hard time killing a boss.

@@oxfordking Assuming you play the game for the first time, 5 berries is not enough, not even for the 50th time. One boss alone can kill you up to 10 times and if I'm really bad against that boss I might die without getting a single hit into the boss while having a consumable active. Once I do die I will lose the buff and there's no way for me to get the consumable back. That sets me back to only having 4 more consumables left. Even if I don't die it just disappears in seconds. So there's basically high risk, no reward for using them. The best game that I played that made me craft stuff and use potions were Witcher 3. Literally get the ingredients once, craft it, rest and you can use the potion again. They also lasted a very long time unless it was a weak potion, but they were strong in other ways. They should follow that approach because it was good, it was good for exploration as the more recipes you unlocked the stronger you became. My general point is that the Fromsoftware consumable game-design is not good. It is easy for cheaters to abuse and is bad for the general single-player gameplay. Even now in Elden Ring cheaters abuse consumables and if Lords of the Fallen follow the same gameplay idea they will have the same cheaters in their game.

I'll probably go Condemned for the experience of starting from scrap. Though I hope it'll be good for optimized builds. Kinda had to give up my first character in Elden Ring after I was finished with my first playthrough just because it was a wretch. If it's not good for optimization I might go Orian Preacher since I'm planning to focus on Radiance on my first playthrough.

@@jacobhallam429 It's not. It's pretty much the worst for min-maxing. You want to have the stats you don't need as low as possible to save levels and since wretch has 10 in everything it's worse than classes that have some stats below 10. Best starting class always depends on the build you're going for as you'll need different stats for them. Vagabond is really good since it has Vigor, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity which are all pretty useful stats regardless of build. If you're going for a build that doesn't need arcane, intelligence and faith and can fully profit from the stats Vagabond has over 10 you'd save 5 levels in comparison to wretch (since vagabond has 9int,9fth,7arc).

As someone who is a huge fan of Blood Souls games I would main Wretch class in Elden ring so I'm going to go, "The Condemned." I just find it way more satisfying starting from the bottom up being the homeless weak individual and becoming the strongest end game. Some people won't like that and understandable. I just always had way more fun without all the help again that's just me.

@@oxfordking I wasn't originally thinking of getting it mainly because of if you die in the real world you lose lose whatever EXP at the time with the only way to regain it is by when you get transported to the dead world to retrieve it somewhere there but if you die you lose it outright. That being said looking at more gameplay etc the game itself looks interesting. I do like the wide variety of classes and equipment. I might have a change of heart and buy it. Only thing is Assassin's Creed Mirage is coming out around the same time, so too maybe other games I have my eye on, and I might opt for AC Mirage or other then instead and maybe get this some time afterwards.

@@davidtsmith33I don't think you lose again if you die while in the real world. If you die in Umbra then you lose everything, like in Souls games. But what's the most important that most people forget is you always keep whatever items and hear you find after death.

@@davidtsmith33 if you die in axiom, you keep your "souls" into umbral, then if you die there, you drop them. after that, you'll respawn at one of the lampbearer thingies, and then you can go get them back. it's only if you die in umbral again without retrieving them, that they are lost.

For me it depends on how long it takes to get dark crusader. If you don't get it until the last area I'll just go with the deluxe for it.

I will make and play all of the classes. I tend to main Holy themed classes, Paladins, Knights, Templars, or Crusaders, so what ever class does that will be my main and I will play the other classes for a different feel. Can't wait.

I’m honestly between the dark crusader, hallowed knight, and the preacher I’m wanting to lean more towards a paladin type but the Dark Crusader is METAL

Honestly I would probably want to start as dark crusader but not sure I want to buy the deluxe. So I will probably go either Warwolf or Knight. Curious to know if the fire salts is like a one time use buff or it is something that can be used over and over again. That would make a big difference it my decision because flaming weapons are my favorite but if you can only use a few times its kind of pointless.

I was wondering the exact same and from what I can tell (just an assumption) they are consumable Salts. I want to go Pyro but use a Sword and not Daggers with fire lit weapons if that's the case. I'm still on the fence on what to go with. So many choices.

@@oxfordking Yea I mean I always love playing a front line melee focused build but like having a bit of spells to throw into the mix. I honestly wish they would show more actual gameplay mechanics rather than just hud free combat and exploration. Would love to see what all goes into building and customizing a character.
