10:25 I stopped watching the video. That was so disrespectful shutting down that person without answering the question. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Alan Sugar now, especially since he has an unelected seat in the House of Lords. He should at least answer the brave gentleman who stood up in front of a crowd and asked him a tricky question.

@PeaceDweller2 жыл бұрын
The guy asking the "tricky question" was throwing out anecdotal evidence, not statistics, facts & names. He was referring to "data" but couldn't expand further than that. This is how it seems to be these days, feelings & emotion over statistical fact & citations. On top of that, he seemed to suggest that billionaires like Sugar should have a moral obligation to fix the economic disparity, guess what, these are what elected governments are for. No fan of Sugar, but I completely understand why the question and the way it was asked, irked him.

Really enjoyed this - the last one Lord Sugar sounded bored, but this one was practically him being a teacher. Particularly liked: 1. How we swats down the lad who asks if he's worthy of being a Lord. 2. The way he details his opposition to Working From Home culture. Valid IMHO... listened to this while WFH. 😏 3. His surprisingly enlightened views on environmentalism (though not very fleshed out). 4. The question he does a delayed answer to (on the best bit of mentoring advice he's had - from an insightful Headmaster). One of those few entrepreneurs that really gets the "Giving back" part, and also not even remotely intimidated by being centre stage in the world's best debating arena's. If only Bezos, Musk, or even Trump had the courage to handle a crowd of students so well...
