HCL is reducing agent and Mno2 is Oxidising agent.. Remember if in a reaction a substance get oxidized that becomes the cause of reduction of another substance..Similarly if a substance get reduced that becomes cause of oxidation of another substance ..

MnO is getting reduced and it is an oxidizing agent. HCL is getting oxidized and it is a reducing agent.

It is said that when oxygen is added or hydrogen is removed it is called oxidation reaction. So does it mean that only one can happen like only oxygen can be added or hydrogen can be removed or does both happen at the same time? Edit- I got the answer.
