Right next to Adam Lambert having somehow gotten second place, there has never been a greater injustice with Jackie not winning this thing. But just like Adam Lambert, winning second didn't stifle them from becoming the superstars that they are and that they deserve to be. I can't even begin to express my level of happiness that she has continued to grow and evolve into this absolutely stunning performer. There's never been a musical artist who has brought me to tears more so than Jackie Evancho. In fact she has been the one and only musical artists to bring me to tears. I wish there were better words to describe Jackie Evancho, because even the best of them seem to fall short of reaching the level that she so richly deserves. Astonishing, superb, incredible, stunning, amazing, gorgeous, spectacular, brilliant and heavenly........they all fall short of hitting the mark.

Everyone talks about Jackie being a Angel and I believe they are 100% right. Here is my proof, I'm a disable Vet. and have been living with pain for 41years. The VA gives me Meds. ( a lot of Meds. ) but after all this time they don't help all that much. I'm watching AGT one night and along comes this 10yo little girl who looked like an Angel and she opened her mouth and out came this Beautiful sound, and for 3 or 4 minutes I almost forgot I was in pain. I listened to every one of her performances and each time, as she was singing most of my pain was almost gone. After that day I would buy every bit of music that she put out and find every Performance that was out on youtube and to this day whenever I hear her my pain is less. So to sum it up, she looks like an Angel, she sings like an Angel, she's as sweet as an Angel, and she helps take away pain. To me she is an ANGEL and that's why I will Always Love this Young Lady because she Is my Angel. Thank you Jackie Evancho. PS - I am putting this on every Jackie video that I can find so maybe it will get to her somehow so she will know how much I Thank Her.

This is a 10 1/2 year old young lady that just sang a song better than any other singer could do in the world. It takes a huge amount of talent to do what you just heard. Her vocal range is 31/2 octaves that she can do maintaining her primary voicing and clarity. No other singer can do this. At 14.2 yrs. she is experiencing challenging formative years where there will be changes in her voice and physical stature. Nature continues to be extremely kind to Jackie. She has a new CD called "Awakening" coming out in mid September 2014 with an international promotional tour. I suspect a PBS TV Special will be tied in to this with a following DVD. The DVD will be available 6-1-15 at Amazon. Support her by purchasing her products and attending her concerts.

Not that I am aware of. You just mentioned Jackie would be superhuman with a 6 octave range. The record is 10. Julie Andrews spanned 5 octaves but none could match that beautiful sound Jackie produces.

Even as good as Jackie was back then, there was still no guarantee that she would make it as far as she has. So many things that can develop as she matures that could of ended up being an issue. Everything from her voice to her social life, friends and family and so on. I can't tell you how happy I am that Sharon's prediction turned out to be spot on. Her big fans such as myself have gotten the privilege to witness her evolution over the years. Going from an adorable little girl with the voice of an angel to an extremely beautiful young woman with the voice of an angel (albeit more seasoned voice)

Response to 19LaUrY86 - there have been many comments on various youtube videos of the breaking note and most think it's adorable. I think it was professional of her to immediately cut off the note when she heard herself. And you can hear her laugh as the audience is clapping. Pie Jesu on AGT and her PBS DVD are simply beyond belief.

That's a LOT of pressure for a little girl to deal with and she was a bit shaky, but what an amazing accomplishment just to get THROUGH the song. Still a beautiful voice-my favorite is Pie Jesu-it was like an angel singing. The adults are sure putting the pressure on by over complimenting in ways that aren't really healthy emotionally, "Superstar"? The whole fame is everything outlook has been hard for adults to deal with, much less a child, but she sure seemed to handle it very well. That speaks to her family and upbringing.......btw these judges really aren't qualified to judge this, none of them know anything about classical singing etc.......

She's not too young for opera, she just prefers to sing classical crossover. She sang Nessum Dorma, and other arias and did a good job. She has lung power already that seems to come from somewhere else, that's why people have accused her of lip syncing. Some people don't need to be trained to sing opera, because they are genius's and they just know how to do it right, Jackie is one of those people.

Well its ok to be negative, and voice your opinion, but I think people are jealous of Jackie's natural and effortless talent at such a young age. I'm not an opera singer or an expert, but I do like Tarja Turunen, and Sarah Brightman who are in roughly the same genre as Jackie, and I can see Jackie can sing something like Nessun Dorma and sing it beautifully. People might bicker about her technique and say she's fake, but the sound coming from her is undeniably beautiful and what else matters?

Sarah actually invented Classical Crossover with her breakthrough album Time To Say Goodbye. Jackie has sung at least two songs from that album; Nella Fantasia and of course the King of all Arias, Nessun Dorma. Jackie matched her with NF but far surpassed Sarah with her stunning performance of Nessun Dorma at Britain's Got Talent two years ago, IMHO the greatest performance of ND ever by a female and better than most males. As for technique her chin wobble is almost gone & her lungs r stronger.

Yes if true "they" got it wrong. Yes early in her career people said she was an opera singer. They don't say that any more. Oh, she'll get it when she gets to be of legal age. Right now, law requires that money that belongs to or earned by a minor must be put in a trust fund (estate) with her legal guardians as the conservator. The conservators are usually required to be monitored by the courts so that the funds are wisely and conservatively invested and kept safe so that it'll be there when she gets old enough, usually 18 years old.

Precisely. Jackie only has three opera arias in her repertoire; Ombra Mai Fu(Handel), O Mio Babbino Caro(Puccini) and Nessun Dorma(Puccini). And yes Classical Crossover is pop songs sung with Classical or operatic voice. Jackie sings Classical Crossover. She has never sung in an opera because 1) she is too young and 2) does not have the training to do so.

Over the many years that have past, I've noticed a decline in the ability of people to communicate in an intelligent rational cogent manner. This is evident in the comments under this thread. The quality of the people who support and purchase music has declined significantly during past years. People are not interested in how a singer with a great voice sings BUT are interested in upbeat percussion, special effects like lighting and fire, the energy the band expresses and ultra simplistic lyrics represented by what RAP TRASH industries produces. A massive indoor concert was recently produced highlighting RAP TRASH. The audience, attempting to run away from boredom, was jumping up and down clapping their hands to the beat. They were standing and slowly moving toward the stage. Their bodies compressed and those that fell down were crushed. I believe 8 people were killed. They was attracted to what RAP TRASH provided. NOTHING! Over the past decade, Jackie Evancho has performed many quality engagements BUT has not attained the recognition from the entertainment industries that she should have received. This was very evident when her name never came to the TMS judge's minds when she performed as "KITTY". Over the past many years, I have repeatedly said that very few people who listens to and purchases music knows what she has done and, like Pope Francis, has never heard her name. During the past year, Jackie Evancho's world has collapsed due to many personal challenges in addition to sick circumstances that she has attempted to adapt to during many past years. She left performing and all social medias for about a year. She returned on Facebook 11-9-21 explaining that she still has many problems and is attempting to deal with them. She has recently shown that she can sing better than ever and has expanded diverse skills relevant to stage presentation. My hope is that the WOKE population WAKES up seeks quality entertainment for their enjoyment. Support Jackie on your sites and enjoy the massive amount of materials that became available during the past decade. Most importantly, PURCHASE HER STUFF. Let me provide FREE INFORMATION to the WOKE POPULATION. Understand that opera is NOT a music genre. Jackie has no interest in performing in operas. Also, understand that classical crossover music is NOT a music genre. People's ability to communicate in a comprehensive cogent manner is at an all time low. To stimulate thinking, understand five words that begin with the letter W. They are Who, What, When, Where, Why. Using some of them or all of them can stimulate thinking. There are vocal "tricks" the opera singers use that CC singers do not, like "trills" and other things. Jackie doesn't know any of those tricks because she hasn't been trained for opera. Yes absolutely many singers are jealous of Jackie. Tarja is the Queen of all symphonic Metal. Floor Jansen is the only one who can come near to her. Ironically, Floor is singing with Nightwish now, Tarja's old band who kicked her out.
