I start a new base on one of the hardest asteroids (Aridio) using the hardest difficulty settings possible. It should make for an interesting playthrough. Can we survive in Oxygen Not Included?

@@GrindThisGame , you can cool the aqua tuner with crude oil by covering half of it. The water sits on top then turns to steam when running!

Small tip, you should pay more attention to your duplicates priorities, that way you can have your best diggers excavating, best farmers farming, buildings constructing etc. It would also mean you don’t have to have super high 8 and 9 priorities to get anything done

I like watching your videos for ideas and things I didn't consider. have you thought about using morbs in your playthrough? I have a system where regolith is used to filter the polluted oxygen they make then pump it to thermo regulators to my base at 18 *(they make polluted oxygen at around 30degrees ) then feed the clay to hatches for coal which i use for electricity. While this sacrifices space it makes clean and cool oxygen and power for free+meat and eggs I also use morbs with pufts to make slime for mushrooms. and the best thing about all this is that dupes dont do a single thing other than ranch and cook and tune up generators to stay alive. since every aspect in this system is automatable.

I have used them in the past. I dont enjoy ranching pufts mostly because they morph between forms often. The system you describe works fairly well though.

@@GrindThisGame you are actually very correct in that. I often have a lot of squeaky pufts and dense pufts. but they are pretty useful . I am currently working to utilize the squeaky pufts for bleach stone since i have a chlorine geyser. and the dense pufts make a good amount of oxylite which is useful for rockets. but i haven't reached rocketry so i just kill and eat them

hey wintermute, i think 2-3 kg works good for one steam gen. if i have like 3 or 4 ill put up to 4 or 5 kg of steam. but thats a lot of heat to supply that...

I used the gold aquatuner in my game and it's not so bad. It doesn't truly work, but it's still somehow enough to get a low 20s degree cooling loop running that cools down even very warm areas of the core base. Not enough for industrial machinery (and ethanol distillers are unusually hot), but plenty too keep plants alive and cool some warm things like the water sieve and compost. My drecko ranch was getting pretty hot I think from their body heat

If you set your construction dupes "building" to be the top priority (^^), while making everything else ^ or lower, you can stop p9ing everything. Unless it is an emergency ^^ + P1= 51 ^ + P9 = 49 The P1 will still get top priority

Yes! I feel so bad for his dupes, he keeps using emergency priority and prevents the whole base from sleeping so that a dupe can build one tile fast XD

Could you please explain why there was a man-made building down in the oil/frozen core area before you even got there? Whats the story behind that and is there any value in it? I saw it has a vending machine?! Thanks!

It's just part of the old ruins of a past civilization. There are clues over the map that explain what happened.

I'd worry that once that polluted water is gone from above that small patch of pressurized oil, it would break the slime block and overflow into your water.

So much easier to use a over flow tank in the cooling loop. And it will even out the temp so it's not a yo yo.

Limit pipe on 95% and put the stuff in from the input of the limiter. should Balance it self. if i remember right. make some space pipes into the cooler.
