Definitely must have tool. Make sure those sensors are nice and hot!!! They’ll come out a lot more easier.

Why buy? Every Big autoparts retailer will LEND you such gadgets for FREE. Just bring them back. These sockets are NOT suitable for tough sensor extractions. They will actually open up under the stress. They are designed for INSERTIONS -- and the use of a torque wrench. If you're stuck, must use the trick sockets... use a hose clamp around the socket head so that it can't easily give way.
@jamesa62725 жыл бұрын
Then you go to use them. The sensors are stuck in there the sockets flex when you put torque on them to remove and they round the sensor. Womp womp.

Gearwrench set for the win - biggest bang for the buck and you never know when you will need one of those 8 sockets. I was hoping for some pliers in the background.
@mdlee527 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Gibson I almost added the pliers correction onto this video. Yes, I linked the GearWrench set in the description.

I have that same OEM tool works great. I added a Lisle thread chaser & a SO flare 22mm crows foot.
@mdlee527 жыл бұрын
+Lone Star Auto I have those thread Chasers but the largest crows foot flare nut wrench I own is 19 mm.
@icemonk127 жыл бұрын
Yeah mdlee, 10-19 mm but the 22 i added as a back up for tight areas.

+Jackalope it all depends on what kind of access you have. If you have the access, then you don't need the set. But on the other hand, I've needed this set in every application I've changed out a sensor.

mdlee52 haha I think when they stamp the M word name on those tools it makes them depreciate faster and causes them to be weaker. Tools have a soul and I’m pretty sure when that M word is stamped on them it has to make them feel inferior ! Haha

Good stuff. $40 looks like a great price on the GearWrench set. Edit: been meaning to get a master set. Just saw I’ve got enough AMZN points to get it down to $23. Using your link to purchase. Hopefully you get something from that,
