I am a huge Harbor Freight fan so I appreciate the positive review.. However, how many socket pieces will the average (non-professional) weekend warrior mechanic use in that set of 10 pieces? The answer is one. Why buy 10 sockets when you only need one? And then how often will this set be used? Probably once every 5-10 years maybe? Instead of buying this, I just go to O'Reilly Auto Parts and rent a set of similar sockets for free. Yes, it's a free rental.

Iv got those. I would buy them again. I have had one spread and slip on a o2 sensor. But it was in there pretty good. Only happened once tho
@CatusMaximus6 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's happened to me several times one trick is to wrap the socket in wire and actually work for me once when it was slipping

Whats the part number ?

Hmm, I really like some of the non harbor freight you had. Having the harbor freight set would be good just to have something to start. Has anybody had good success cutting their own o2 sensor wrench from some cheapo wrench before?
@CatusMaximus6 жыл бұрын
It's pretty easy I've done that once to a cheap wrench but it broke it would probably work better on a six-point high quality wrench. Just take an angle grinder and cut a slot in it as small as you need it and still able to pass it over the sensor.

@@CatusMaximus I was thinking about welding
@kingkong89746 жыл бұрын
So I can weld a wrench to a swivel extension
@CatusMaximus6 жыл бұрын
You can try it but the welding operation will destroy the heat treatment which is a significant portion of the strength of the tool. If it fails it will probably fail on the weld. If you TIG weld you might be better off because you can control the heat and use several small passes and not be quite as damaging i e not overheating the metal as badly as say a stick or mig weld.
