Today we are taking a look at the Ozark Trail dark rest series tents. In this video, we will show you the setup and all the features of this tent. As with all of our reviews, we have used this product in multiple real-world conditions before completing the review. This massive tent has many great features and its dark design makes it ideal for camping in all conditions. The removable fly makes for a great experience when the weather is nice and the extra thick 190t material makes for a dry tent when the weather goes south.

I really love this tent. I enjoy how dark it is in the morning after a long night of drinking and shenanigans by the fire. It is also sizeable tent I can easily put up even on solo trips.

I know this is an older video but a tip I also use the ozark trail instant tents the key to easy rain fly installation is to put it on before you extend the vertical legs to their final position much easier especially when you set it up solo like I do

It's good just make sure your keeping up on seam sealing and waterproofing we used our tent twice with about 3 yrs apart and ofc it rained the first night we set it up after it sitting in storage and we got completely rained out our fault but at the same time the seam tape was flaking off so just keep an eye on it

U can add a AC unit (tape then cutt ) it's a great tent went threw acuple hurricanes have to tie it level with the guidelines .....u need light bulbs 😂 cause the loghys that come with it dont light up that good but its a great tent

Yes we use this tent a few times per year and we have used the ac in it. This is the tent we are talking about when we say use a tarp over top to keep the air in as this tent has a mesh roof you can also use towels over the mess using the rain fly to hold them on this works to keep the air from escaping as well

@marksain32 so I would definitely put something on the vented to to help like I said towel are quick and easy and work well or some cheap visquen will work fine even trash bags can be used it's just to close the top off a little better.

Hi! @ParkHopTillWeDrop, could you clarify, when you zip the ceiling flaps up for total darkness, is the mesh then completely sealed off? I'm wondering how suitable this tent would be for cooler weather, so as to not let cold air in.

It's not completely sealed but close should be fine for weather in the low 30s but it never gets that cold here in florida so it's not something we have tested

I have this tent in the 10 person and 6 person. I go salmon fishing in the fall in Michigan. I just put a large tarp over the top and use a buddy heater. Stays nice and toasty. The small tent I don't put a tarp. Just the heater.

Yes we a/c this tent when we take it out we normally but a tarp on top of it then put the rain fly over that to keep the air from going out the top mesh roof that has always worked well for us. Big thing with tent ac is try to seal the tent best you can and be in a shady place if possible helps the ac work much better

Id fit 12 in there no bother. I have 7 kids 2 adults and we usually go in a 6 person tent. We just use 4 double mattresses all together on the floor.

Your saying to much mesh for a winter tent? It doesn't get too cold Here in Florida so not normally an issue but with the rain fly on it does seal the tent pretty well but this would not be a great cold climate tent. Also thanks for commenting
