I was their personal pilot for tours in the mid to late 1970s when I flew for a commuter airline based at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The Daredevils lived near the army base and used my airline for tours. In 1977, I flew them to Minot, North Dakota where they were the closing act. They invited me, my copilot, and our flight attendant to watch the show from the stage. The were very nice guys and were Great fun to hang with.

u r 1000% correct, well actually from 1969-1978 there was more, better and the music was more magical than in any time in music history period. also after 1978 till today there isn't even enough music that can even come close to the years i mentioned that can even keep up. included in this was all the one hit wonders and all the albums that every song went platinum than in any other time period but that's only because the artists weren't thieves and most wrote all their own material unlike the losers of today who steal all their material because they don't have any imagination or talent period.

Arguably my favorite genre. I love how they bring together harmonicas, banjos and sizzling guitar licks.

One of the greatest songs of the 70's - wait, of all time! This LP is fabulous end to end. Every cut is a gem. Thanks for the memories of 1974.

I had forgotten that this song existed, and I had no idea it was the daredevils. Awesome tune.

I bought the single (b/w Spaceship Orion), back in the fifth-grade, when every dollar was hard to come by in them days. It's still a fantastic song fifty years later, although the 1974 mono AM feel is lost forever.

First had the 8-track, then the cassette, followed by the LP, then the CD of the fabulous album. Every song a gem. Listen to it often. Wicked harmonica - way to go, Steve! Just when I thought this was their best single, along came the awesome "Jackie Blue"!! Thanks for the memories!
